Sir, I am 62 years old ,suffering from reccuring UTI, in an iterval of 2 Months fever comes with shivering, burning sensation at and after pee is not significant but end of pee through pee organs air and bubbles are released with a sound it occurs also in a time intervals. At present I am under care of a urologist but persistent of problem is making me weak. What should I do sir

I am 82 year old male I have clean habits I am 82 year old male I have clean habits No B P no Sugar. But my problem is frequent urination. A large amount of urine pass out. I do not have urine Infection, no irritation, no urine blockage. When Sun shines I feel no urge for urination for 3-4 hours in the morning. BY evenings after 5 P M I feel urgent to urinate once in 2 hours without any alarm till next morning. When it is cloudy, raining, even for one and half hour I feel urgent to urinate. Some time back I am told by one Dr friend, saying that see Mr., after age of 60 almost all will have prostate problem of frequent urination. When you don’t have urine infection, irritation, blockage of urine, frequent urination is not a problem. Is this advice is correct ? Dr, do i have any way out to avoid this frequent urination ? I am eagerly awaiting for your valuble advice

Ans: As one ages as part of ageing process there are certain changes in Male and female
One of that is Prostrate enlargement
Frequency of urination only on a specific time of the day cannot be due to Prostate enlargement.
A solution to this would be to have the required water for your body mostly before lunch time
Then just have sips and few gulps now and thenRestrict totally after 6pm
See if it works
Also undergo USG Pelvis to see if there is enlarged

Hello, Myself Pawan Gupta Age 62 Years, I am suffering due to Urinary Track Infection from last 2 and half year. Now as per my my urine culture test reports of last two months, all antibiotics are resistant. there is a continuous pain in lower abdomen and some time fever up to 100 degree fahrenheit. Advice me what to do.

Ans: Dear Mr Gupta,
I am not sure if you have any other underlying health issue for which you are undergoing treatment. However, for UTI, please consult a nephrologist. I am not sure why the infection has lasted this long. In any case, it should be treated in a timely manner to prevent any further damage.
As far as antibiotic resistance is concerned, it is a good reminder of rational and careful use of antibiotics else we all are likely to reach such situation.

From my clinical experience, I can say that many of the patients who shows initial resistance to antibiotics, later on become sensitive once again. This is a case for urinary tract related infections. So, best wishes.

In the meantime, please consult a nephrologist with all your detailed reports and take necessary action.

Ans: Tax is calculated as per slab rate prescribed under both regimes and once tax calculation is done, there is a concept of rebate which is deducted from tax liability.

Accordingly, if taxpayers opt for a new tax regime, tax on 12 lacs of income will be 60000 and rebate will be 60000. Thus, tax liability will be Zero.

Please note that rebate is not available on special rate income like short term capital gain on equity shares which is taxable at 20%, long term capital gain on equity shares is taxable at 12.5%.

Ans: Selection of tax regime will decide tax liability and depending on eligibility of amount of deduction/exemption, tax liability will be calculated.

Considering income of 48 lacs, under old tax regime gross tax liability will be Rs.13,02,600 and under new tax regime it will be Rs.10,60,800.

We are a Private Limited Company with an employee strength of 60, and we strictly follow all PF rules. As per the applicable salary criteria, we contribute to the Provident Fund wherever required. Recently, we discovered that an employee who joined our company two years ago has an existing UAN linked to their Aadhaar. However, at the time of joining, the employee declared in Form 11 that they did not have a PF account. Based on this declaration, we did not contribute to their PF account. Now, the employee states that they were unaware of their PF account, and the UAN linked to their Aadhaar is currently inactive. Furthermore, they do not wish to activate their PF account. Given this situation, should we present Form 11 as valid proof for non-contribution, or are there any corrective actions required to comply with PF regulations? Kindly guide us on the appropriate steps to take in this matter.

Ans: Hello;

If the organisation is such that EPFO laws are applicable and if employee 's salary is as per the threshold given by EPFO (15 K basic +DA) then you don't have an option to avoid EPF.

The EPFO commissioner may issue your organisation a show cause notice as to why the form-11 submitted by the employee was not scrutinized thoroughly when it was submitted.

You may furnish joint declaration in the prescribed format to correct the mistake in form 11 and deposit all employer employee contributions till date with penalty as decided by the EPF Commissioner.

Actually such willful suppression of facts by the employee, which bring the employer into legal issues, deserves termination.

Seek advice from a lawyer specializing in labour and EPF laws, if required.

Ans: Selection of tax regime depends of eligibility of amount of deduction and exemption. Considering income of 17lacs, When amount of deductions/exemption cross 6,50,000; old scheme is likely to be beneficial for the tax payer.

Ans: Usually there is no direct rejection because of drop. If you qualify you will be called for interview, where they may ask you to justify your drop. Then your selection will partly depend on your answer.

Hi Sir, I had worked in a Pharma company since 1990 till 2004 with all the PF and Pension fund contributions paid. However I subsequently changed the organisation and a new PF no was allocated alongwith UAN No which I left in the year 2013. I do have a Scheme Certificate from the previous company but no UAN No (as the UAN nos came subsequently) and the older PF account has an erroneous DOB for which Y am persuing the previous employer. Now I wish to club the two PF accounts together. How to go about. Please guide and enlighten. Thanks and Regards Kanwaljit Singh

Ans: Hello;

You first need to correct your DOB in previous pf account by submitting a joint declaration(in the prescribed format) with your previous employer to the assigned EPFO office.

After clearing this you need to activate your UAN online on EPFO portal.

Once your UAN is activated you can merge all your previous pf accounts under the same UAN online through the EPFO member portal.
