Ans: Hello Panthera,

Firstly, thank you for reaching out to us. To answer your question, I would say that it is always a great idea to puruse an education abroad especially from prestigious institutions like the RMIT in Australia even if it is just for two two years. You can confidently move ahead if you want to continue your education through the BITS-RMIT Higher Education Academy.

I have cse ai ml in ikgptu mohali campus and kapurthala campus I live in Faridabad which would be best pls tell me in detail and is the colleges good or not?
Ans: Ansh, IK Gujral Punjab Technical University’s CSE (Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning) specialization is offered at two state-university campuses in Punjab—Mohali and Kapurthala—each with 60 seats, NBA-accredited curricula and four-year, eight-semester structures. Mohali Campus, established in 2018–19 in SAS Nagar, affords proximity to Chandigarh’s IT corridor, hosts on-campus recruitment drives by 55+ companies (Accenture, Wipro, TCS, Infosys, Cognizant) and delivers vocational training and summer internships through a dedicated Training & Placement Cell with modern AI/ML, data-science and cloud labs. Kapurthala Campus, the university’s main campus founded in 1997, features robust campus infrastructure over 78 acres, NAAC-accreditation, NIRF inclusion at 96th among Indian universities and reports a median B.Tech package of ?5 LPA in 2023, supported by specialized AI & ML labs and PhD-qualified faculty. Both campuses maintain strong industry MoUs and research-led pedagogy; however, Mohali’s integration with Tri-City industry and active placement engagements contrast with Kapurthala’s established academic heritage and broader university network.

Recommendation: Given your Faridabad residence near Delhi, Mohali Campus is more suitable due to its closer proximity to North Indian IT hubs, proactive industry linkages and dynamic placement activity; Kapurthala Campus remains a solid choice if you prioritize a long-standing main campus reputation and wider alumni network. All the BEST for Admission & a Prosperous Future!

Sir, My son is waitlisted in BITS.(expecting Msc chemistry at BITS hyd) He is currently alloted ECE at Thapar. What to opt for- integrated degree at BITS or core branch at Thapar University. Please guide n terms of better prospects ,curriculum, placements and overall exposure Please guide as reporting dates are approaching .
Ans: The Integrated M.Sc. in Chemistry at BITS Hyderabad spans four years of in-depth coursework in physical, organic, inorganic and analytical chemistry, reinforced by state-of-the-art research laboratories and a dual-degree option with engineering disciplines under BITS’s flexible academic structure . Admission through BITSAT iteration rounds offers exposure to global research collaborations and practice-school internships, with the programme achieving an 87.39% placement rate and an average package of ?20.36 LPA in 2024 . In contrast, Thapar University’s four-year B.E. in Electronics & Communication Engineering features a rigorous core curriculum—including VLSI, signal processing, embedded systems and IoT—supported by specialized labs (microwave, optical fiber, capstone and digital electronics) and industry-sponsored projects . Thapar’s Training & Placement Cell reports approximately 85% placement consistency for ECE graduates, with roles spanning core electronics, telecommunications and software engineering .

Recommendation: For a specialized chemistry research trajectory, early master’s credentials and higher placement consistency, favour the integrated M.Sc. Chemistry at BITS Hyderabad; if a core engineering pathway with broad hardware/software exposure, flexible electives and solid industry tie-ups aligns with career goals, opt for Thapar University’s ECE programme. All the BEST for Admission & a Prosperous Future!
