Hi . What is difference in BE and Btech. Now a days which field is best to get hire. I mean BE CS engineering or AI & ML engineering in which course we have best future with good pay scale

Ans: BE is more theory-oriented, focusing on the fundamentals of engineering, while BTech is application-based, emphasising practical aspects of technology. Course Structure: BE courses often have a more traditional approach, focusing on the scientific theory behind engineering principles. This is the answer what GOOGLE says, But being a veteran professor I don't thing there is much difference between and BE and B.Tech. You want to learn or earn money. If you want to learn then what is your best choice. Only for earning don't choose a line like CS engineering or AI & ML. Money can be earn by other means also. First think of your choice. By keeping earning in the mind don't be selective about your studies. Professor

Career
Sir ,with present trends and placement, which BTech branch is on demand? BTECH CSE or CSE ( specialisation Data science) or CSE ( IA&ML) .Pls provide me the best course I can opt. With regards
Ans: The core B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering (CSE) offers a broad foundation covering software development, algorithms, data structures, computer systems, networks, and databases, providing versatile career paths across IT, finance, healthcare, cybersecurity, and gaming. Its enduring demand in India and internationally is backed by steady job growth, starting salaries ranging between ?6–10 LPA, and placement in top firms globally. B.Tech CSE specializing in Data Science focuses on extracting insights from large datasets, with growing opportunities in sectors like retail, finance, e-commerce, and healthcare. Data Science roles such as data scientist, analyst, and engineer are projected to expand by over 28% in the coming years, driven by big data and AI integration. The AI & ML specialization within CSE focuses intensely on designing intelligent systems, machine learning algorithms, computer vision, and robotics, positioned for rapid growth as AI reshapes industries like automotive, finance, and healthcare globally. While AI & ML offers high-paying roles such as machine learning engineer and AI researcher, it requires continuous upskilling due to rapid technology evolution. Core CSE offers broader technical grounding and flexibility, Data Science is more domain-focused with strong demand in analytics-driven roles, and AI & ML specialization is most future-oriented but demands substantial commitment and adaptability. Challenges across all branches include keeping pace with evolving tech, niche skill saturation, and competitive entry into top-tier companies.

Recommendation:
Prioritize Core CSE for foundational versatility and broad IT career options, followed by CSE with AI & ML for cutting-edge future roles, and then CSE specializing in Data Science due to strong growth but narrower domain focus.
