Dear Sir,I am confused.I had asked the same question to Mr Mayank Chandel also and he replied that for Home state quota he needs to complete his 10th and 12th from same state.But as per your answer 11th and 12th need to be from the same state. Ans: Hi
Thanks for contacting us again and we want to remove the confusion in your mind.
The home state is determined by the school's location from which you have completed your 12th grade or equivalent.
If you complete your 12th grade in Maharashtra, your home state will be considered Maharashtra, regardless of where you completed your 10th grade.

Imp: it is not compulsory to complete both the 10th and 12th grades from the same state to be considered for the home state quota. The 12th-grade location is the critical factor.

For example, if you complete your 10th grade in Gujarat and your 12th grade in Maharashtra, your home state for college admissions would be Maharashtra.

Finally, Since you are completing your 12th grade in Maharashtra, you will be eligible for the home state quota in Maharashtra. You do not need to have completed both the 10th and 12th grades in the same state to be eligible for the home state quota; only the 12th-grade location matters.

I have completed my 10th standard in TELANGANA. And pursued my 12th standard in KARNATAKA. I have DOMICILE of WEST BENGAL. Am I eligible for STATE QUOTA of KARNATAKA??? If YES, What's the expected cut off for GOVT. COLLEGE in KARNATAKA??? Is it mandatory for me appear for KCET ??? But I don't have the DOMICILE CERTIFICATE of KARNATAKA.

Thanks for your valuable reply, but my query has not been cleared yet. I am a domicile of West Bengal and by virtue of that my daughter can participate in 85% state quota of West Bengal. Again Maharashtra State has 1% quota termed as D3 for the defence personnel who are posted in Maharashtra but not a domicile of the state. Being a defence personnel presently posted in Maharashtra, my daughter is also eligible for the same. Now, my query is, can my daughter participate in councelling for both West Bengal and Maharashtra for state quota and D3 quota respectively or she can only be permitted to participate in one state out of West Bengal and Maharashtra? Ans: Welcome back.
Your daughter can participate in counseling in both states, i.e., WB and Maharashtra. She can participate via the 85% quota in WB and under the D3 defence quota in Maharashtra. These two state quota processes are independent of each other. There is no rule in NEET or MCC guidelines that restricts a candidate from participating in multiple state counselling rounds, as long as they meet the respective eligibility criteria. But be sure that, take admission to only one state if the seat is allotted. Participate actively in WBMCC and the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra counseling process.
Yet it is highly recommended to read the brochures published by WB, MS, and MCC in detail. We do not have any official updates related to such types of situations. We provide this information based on our experience and not based on any official documentation with us. Best of luck to your daughter.

How will I be taxed ?

Ans: For calculation of tax on sale of asset, date of purchase is important. Assuming it is held for more than 24 months and purchased before 23.07.2024 than tax will be charged on gain at 12.5% or 20% on gain amount after indexation (whichever is beneficial)

Hi, My son has got ECE in NITK surathkal and iMTech in IIIT-B (BTech was an option though). It is a dilemma on what to choose. NITK has a strong alumni and brand but the % of the placements in core ECE jobs are less. IIIT-B has near 100% placement but relatively smaller alumni and relatively new entrant. Ans: With a 98.7 percentile under the All-India (GOPENS) category in MHT-CET, your daughter exceeds the GOPENS closing percentiles of 97.68–97.88 across CAP rounds, making COEP Pune admission possible in branches where GOPENS cutoffs fall below 98.7—including Civil Engineering (98.9), Metallurgical Engineering (97.49), Instrumentation & Control (99.19), and Manufacturing Science (–) . Although Computer Engineering (99.85) and Electronics & Telecommunication (99.71) remain out of reach, core branches with slightly lower cutoffs are attainable.
