Career

My son is studying master's in motion media design major in Animation in SCAD, Savannah,GA, USA. He will complete his program mid 2026. Considering current job market for technical graduates in US what is your view and suggestions for my son in order to get good placement. Also how is the market in India for the said stream. Thanks.

Ans: It is natural for parents to be worried about their children overseas, especially on the job front. My advice would be that we should not read too much in the "current job market" sitting thousands of miles away. Mid 2026 is still 18 months away and too far in the future to start worrying today. Your son being at the heart of action would know exactly how to navigate between his studies and finding a job.

My son has just completed his B.Tech (IT) from MAIT, Delhi. Can you please elaborate his chance in getting job in his field. Further, can u suggest further studies for him, if yes, what is the most suitable for him ?

Ans: Please expand on the name MAIT, Delhi, marks secured by your son in BTech IT and what are his interest areas. His college Placement Department would be the best placed to advice on the names and nature of companies visiting for placement this year and in the past to determine job prospects. He can go in for higher studies only if he has interest in a particular area and not because he cannot get a job after BTech. All the best.

Ans: Hi, OBC certificate is very old. The validity of the caste certificate is one year. You may use the same certificate for application purposes, but you must have a valid one, including the creamy layer and Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) status, at the time of admission. Your admission will be based on this. Therefore, it is advisable to obtain a new certificate.
Better apply for same and get it ASAP.

Ans: With 83.92 percentile (OBC category) in JEE Mains, getting CSE in top NITs/IIITs is difficult, but you might have chances in lower NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs in later rounds or spot rounds.
