Respected Sir/Madam, I passed CBSE Class 12 in 2025. I appeared again as a CBSE private candidate for improvement in all subjects in 2026. I may also appear through NIOS in 2027 for eligibility purposes. Kindly clarify what I should select in the JEE Main 2027 application form regarding: 1. Class 12 passing year 2. Status (Passed/Appearing) so that there is no issue during counselling and document verification. Thank you.

Ans: In JEE Main 2027, select the board/year for which you want eligibility considered (CBSE-2026 if improvement qualifies, otherwise NIOS-2027), and choose “Passed” for CBSE-2026 or “Appearing” if awaiting the NIOS-2027 result.

Good luck.
