Career

Sir please reply I am asking from long time. My daughter got 87.7 percentile in JEE Mains, 97.2% in board exams, 15000 rank in B.Arch JEE, 152 marks in Manipal, and 7000 rank in EAMCET. She is not interested in CSE. She likes mathematics and computing. She got this branch at Mahindra University, in BTech Hyderabad . She is also preparing for BITSAT again and is okay with civil engineering if she gets it at BITS. She got Category 2 ECE at VIT Chennai but we did not pay the fee. What is the best choice for her career, considering her interest in maths and logic? And is it okay to take civil in bits? Please advise.

Ans: Hello dear.
Here is the response to your inquiry:
(1) Given the score mentioned in the JEE, securing a seat in one of the NITs or IIITs would be quite difficult.
(2) With a score of 152 in Manipal, she might be able to gain admission to a computer-related or equivalent branch.
(3) Due to her passion for Mathematics, she has secured a seat at Mahindra University, which is an excellent option for studying mathematics, especially in relation to computation and mathematics. It would be wise to consider keeping the seat here.
(4) You will have the option of BITS once the results are announced.
(5) It is unclear how she can be comfortable with Civil Engineering if she has a genuine interest in mathematics.
(6) Opting for Civil Engineering solely based on admission to BITS is not advisable. It is always better to follow one's interests, and her interest lies in mathematics.
Suggestion: Given her strong inclination towards mathematics, you might want to prioritize Mahindra University, or if she is not content there, explore additional options in mathematics. However, do not compromise on her interests. Very few individuals are aware of their true passions, and your daughter is among them. It is important to honor her interests.
Best of luck.
