I received joining letter from TCS in September 2024 due to incompletion of the course i rescheduled it and now it's been 6 months still didn't received any joining letter from TCS what should I do

Ans: Hello Amulya.
As early as possible, you reach out to your TCS HR representative to inquire about the status of your onboarding and request an update on your joining date either by email or by telephone conversation, if you know the contact number. You mentioned that you did not complete the course when you received the joining letter. Have to informed TCS that you have completed the course on time? If not, please inform them earliest. Even after informing to HR TCS in this regard, and after rescheduling, if you are not getting any response, then consider escalating the issue to a higher authority within TCS HR.
Here are a few suggestions- (1) Send a professional email politely requesting an update on your joining date and the reason for the delay. (2) Clearly mention your original joining date, the reason for rescheduling, and the current date. (3) Log in to the TCS career portal to see if there are any updates regarding your onboarding process. (4) Keep continuous follow-up with the HR team without irritation.
If satisfied, please like and follow me.
If dissatisfied with the reply, please ask again without hesitation.
Thanks.

Hello, sir is it any rule or act in india government that private limited company doesn't give me joining letter or confirmation latter since 8 month to take action against company? They didnt give me any letter and they terminated so it is possible to give action against company?
Ans: Kinu,

You have NOT mentioned (a) Nature of Industry/Company you worked with (b) what was your Designation/Your Nature of Work & (c) Why you were terminated/Reasons for Termination?

To move to Labour Court, you should have an Appointment Letter (or) Pay-Slips (or) Show-cause Notice (or) Termination Letter (or) any other Document Proof like PF/ESIC Account Number (if applicable to you) etc. to prove in the Labour Court that you had been working there for 8-months. If NOT, you cannot move to Labour Court.

My suggestion (based on my Experience & having worked in HR-Administration Department in Delhi/Muscat/Chennai) :

(a) It is better to move ahead with another job without moving to Labour Court against the Company.

(b) You can move to Labour Court if you have worked for more than 3-years and have incurred a heavy financial loss of PF (if not remitted by the Company to EPFO or Gratuity (if worked for 5-or-more years) or any other dues outstanding for more than a year.

(c) As you have worked just for 8-months, it is not at all good or advisable to move to labour court for your future.

(d) To the extent possible, avoid disputes with any Company you work with, why because, when you search for jobs with another company, most of the companies conduct 'Antecedent Verification' i.e. verifying about the candidates who have applied for the job in their company. They might call the HR Department/Current Reporting Seniors to know about the candidate and/or write mail to get their feedback.

(e) Let us assume, they do not conduct any 'Antecedent Verification' and you get offer from another company. The new employer will ask for copies of documents which might include your Appointment Letter, Copy of Latest Pay-Slips, Confirmation Letter, Relieving Letter, NO Dues Certificate etc. You will have to approach your current employer for some of the documents, especially Relieving Letter.

If you had not had good relationship with the Current Employer, it will be much difficult for you to get even a Relieving Letter from the past employer(s) & join a new company. Copy of which all documents will be demanded by new employer depends upon its HR Policy/Nature of Work.

(f) Also please note, if the new employer comes to know that you had moved to Labour Court against your past employer, current employer will start enquiring about the same from you and / or from your past employer. From then, problems will start for you from the current employer also which can be (some illustrative examples): Transferring you to some other department, Laying you Off, Withdrawing Increments/Bonus etc.

In future, when you join a new company, ask for an Appointment Letter (even if it is a small company).

I hope I have clarified your doubt(s).

All the BEST for Your Bright Future.

My daughter Passed out 9.5gpa and was offered job with TCS and Tech Mahindra almost few weeks apart from each other in the month of July end 2024 and offer was given for TCS in July first week and Tch Mahendra in end July, but tech Mahindra followed up with Joining letter immediately, but my daughter choosed TCS it has been three months since but no Joining letter received,2weeks back was asked to attend an exam which she undertook ,why so much delay by TCS? Was it a wrong decision to let go off Tech Mahindra?Pls reply also suggest what to do now? should we wait or look out elsewhere?
Ans: Yes. Certainly it was a wrong decision. A bird in hand is worth than two birds in bush. She must have accepted the offer of Tech Mahindra, After selection why TCS is again taking test? This is not ethical. But now if she approaches Tech Mahindra probably she won't get a response. So try elsewhere. Mind that DECISION DECIDES DESTINY. If your decision is wrong you are bound to fail. So no more lamenting over the spilt milk. In future take correct decision. Secondly her GPA is too high. Many times organizations don't select very high GPA candidates, because their stability becomes a question mark. Due to very high GPA they never become satisfied with any job. They always think they are underpaid and deserve more. Please keep one thing in mind once you join a job your GPA becomes dead, then your performance will decide your future prospects. Just follow me. Best of luck to her. GOD BLESS HER. Professor................:)

My son has got 91 percentile in the recent jee exam , he has next attempt in april, but i feel its difficult for him , can i know about other good colleges in karnataka , as im based their. interested in computer science and aeronautical degree, also advise some recent good courses for his career in india.
Ans: Hello Manoj.
Do not get stressed at this stage. Even though his score is 91 percentile in 1st attempt, he can do well in 2nd attempt. But from the safer side, ask him to appear in the Karnataka State Engineering Entrance Examination also. Even if he scores less in JEE on 2nd attempt, he may good college via the state entrance examination in CSE or aeronautical engineering as per your wish. For your reference, there are 10 colleges in India where you can get admission without a JEE score. To know more details, please copy and paste the following link into your browser- https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/education/news/10-engineering-colleges-in-india-for-pursuing-btech-without-jee-main-2025-score/articleshow/118162587.cms.
There are no such courses to be called as recent. The choice of courses depends upon the interest of your son. Hence there is no need to hurry and get into panic at this stage. Let him appear for both exams first, Ask about his interests, and then choose the course accordingly. I would be happy to suggest you after knowing his scores in JEE+State entrance + his liking.
Till then, ask him to focus only on two engineering entrance exams. Best of luck to your son for upcoming exams.

If satisfied with the reply, please like and follow me, else ask again.
Thanks
Radheshyam
