I am passed cbse class 12 in 2024 but compartment in maths passed because i have 6 subjects in 12th but not appear in jee mains 2024 I take drop for 2025 jee mains i have 97%ile in jan. attempt 2025 not appear in any board in 2025 because some reason but reappear in other board for class 12 in 2026 and take drop for 2026 so can i appear for both jee mains & advance or only mains 2026 please guide me sir

Ans: Hello Dear.
You passed Class 12 in 2024 (with 6 subjects and compartment in Maths), didn’t give JEE Main in 2024, gave it in 2025 (got 97%ile), and plan to reappear for Class 12 from another board in 2026. You can appear in JEE Main 2026 (and again in 2027 and 2028) if you give a fresh Class 12 attempt in 2026 from a recognized board. You can appear for JEE Advanced in 2026 and 2027 based on your new Class 12 attempt in 2026. Just make sure your 2026 board exam is a fresh attempt, not just an improvement.

Hello Sir I am passed class 10 in 2022 from cbse and 12 paased in 2024 with 68% and not give jee in that year. And next year i am appear in JEE Mains 2025 and get good percentile 97 but not get sit in jossa counsilling because low percent in class 12th so my question is can i appear for UP Board 2026 as a fresh candidate or in the open NIOS Board 2026 as a fresh candidate which is better but sir i am going with UP BOARD more . And one thing is that my class 10th in 2022 and class 12th in 2026 the 4 year gap does not affect my eligiblity in jee mains and jossa counsilling . Or can I do from up board class 12 is good or not please clear sir ?
Ans: Welcome.
You can appear as a fresh candidate in any board, and then you are eligible to appear for JEE (Mains) and JEE (Adv). A 4-year gap will not affect your eligibility for JEE (Mains) and JOSSA counseling. You can complete 12th grade either from the UP or NIOS board, whichever suits you. Last but not least suggestion - Instead of focusing on JEE, better to appear for a state-level engineering entrance test and take admission to a reputed engineering college and to the desired branch to save your time and frustration that comes with JEE.
