Hi, My name is Anand (age 36Years), I am presently working as Executive engineer (as a facility manager of the institute), earlier part of project execution in a Government institute with about 17years technical experience in total. I have Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical and electronics, planning for higher education either in technical (MTech) or administrative (MBA) full time/part time (Planning to take leave from job) preferred place is Bangalore. What are the course options available for me along with good to better institutes which I can opt for? Likely expenditure for completion of course? what are the career growth options available for my profile? Thanks in advance

Ans: As for career growth options, an MTech degree would enhance your technical skills and could lead to better job opportunities in the field of Electrical Engineering, Electronics, and Communication Engineering, or Computer Science and Engineering. On the other hand, an MBA degree could lead to career growth opportunities in management roles such as Operations Manager, Project Manager, or General Manager. Some universities Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, National Institute of Technology (NIT), Surathkal, BMS College of Engineering, Bangalore offer MTech Courses in & around Bangalore. You can pursue an online MBA from a variety of portals &/or can explore an on-campus from XIME, SIBM, Christ that are based out of Bangalore too.

Hello Mayank ji, My name is Anand (age 36Years), I am presently working as Executive engineer (as a facility manager of the institute), earlier part of construction project execution in same Government institute with about 17years technical experience in total. I have Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical and electronics, planning for higher education either in technical (MTech) or administrative (MBA) full time/part time (Planning to take leave from job) preferred place is Bangalore. What are the course options available for me along with good to better institutes which I can opt for? IIMB is one of the option for me? Do I have to write CAT entrance test for all such entries or based on experience some entry is possible? Other details like expenditure for completion of course? what are the career growth options available for my profile? Thanks in advance
Ans: With your 17 years of technical experience, you may consider pursuing an Executive MBA (EMBA) program. The EMBA program is designed for experienced professionals, and it focuses on leadership, strategic management, and business administration. There are several top-rated institutes in Bangalore that offer EMBA programs, including the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bangalore, Xavier Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship (XIME), and Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM), among others. However, some institutes may consider your work experience as an eligibility criterion and waive off the entrance test. Regarding career growth options, an EMBA degree can open up new opportunities in leadership and strategic management roles. With your technical background and an EMBA degree, you can move into senior management roles.

Undergraduate (UG) degrees provide foundational knowledge, including how to conduct research. In postgraduate (PG) studies, you generally build on those basics. After completing your PG studies, you can engage in research, either full-time or by pursuing a PhD.

An MBBS degree is also just a basic qualification and is not the only gateway into the research field. You can conduct research in a variety of fields, including arts.

If you are particularly interested in human psychology, gather basic information on the topic and proceed accordingly. There are various aspects of human psychology, so consider which area you would like to specialize in and plan your path from there.
