Dear sir/madam, my issue is my ex gf is working in a civil consultancy as sr consultant and she is single. Now she want to start her own consultancy and she want me be her business partner and give support in all the way. She only ready to invest money for office or shop like. My problem is shall I support her in full business or shall I support to get project and design works or look for diff job. I don't to say no also. So kindly give me the solution. Hi Mayank, I run a partnership firm manufacturing specialty chemicals with me & wife as partners for the last 15+ years & have been quite successful till date. Only I am involved in the business since inception. Our daughter has competed her graduation in a totally different stream & has started working in a firm related to her field of study. She has to work over 12 hours / day ( including commute) & is paid very low salary, the prospects of her getting major increases over the next 5 years are almost non existent as the field in general pays very low salaries, unless you are able to start your own firm. With the above perspective I had suggested to our daughter to join our firm on a salary basis ( much better than what she is currently getting ) & over the next 5 years have a good growth in terms of income. Eventually she could take over & continue. She too seems open to this suggestion. I am still not clear on the pros & cons of this decision & would request you for advice on the same. Thanks

Ans: I think it's a very good option. She can join your business and meanwhile also keep herself upgraded through online and part time courses.

Sir, My daughter is in Dellas US.Her husband is SAP consultant and doing job there. My daughter is also MBA. She is interested in doing business with my cooperation. How can we do business while I am in India and she is in US. Pl suggest. Can we form a company without her physical presence here. We are interested to register the company in India. There are several opportunities but you need to focus on those which
1) are relevant to your/your daughter's experience, expertise,network, passion,
2) take into account finance available or that can be organised by you, plus
3) offer growing prospects.
There are several cross-border opportunities. I would request you to do a lot of research, secondary first, and then primary. That will help you understand which specific niche you might want to target. You will need to talk to others too to see if they are looking for such partners. You must demonstrate what you can offer such partners.
There are several such cross-border examples in Information tech/ software/ IT enabled services, in various forms of consulting, in bespoke fashion, and more. Pl start your research

However, there may be opportunities in later rounds, at lower-tier NITs, or at certain IIITs through CSAB/JAC counseling.

Let him participate in the counselling process to achieve his goal.

NITs (Home State MP & Others): MANIT Bhopal (MP Quota):It is possible to secure admission in Production, Civil, Materials, or Chemical Engineering.
- In Lower/Newer NITs: Admission is possible only for core branches.
IIITs: IIIT Bhopal/Nagpur/Pune: you can secure a seat in ECE or other core branches.
- IIn IIIT Ranchi/Kalyani/Una: Computer Science (CS) or Information Technology (IT) is possible
GFTIs: BIT Mesra (Ranchi), PEC, Chandigarh, IIEST Shibpur: Core branches only feasible.

In mid-tier NITs like Calicut, Jaipur, and Nagpur, he can easily gain admission to ECE, and there is a possibility of securing a spot in CS if you belong to the respective domicile.

In low-tier or newer NITs, such as Agartala, Mizoram, Srinagar, and Nagaland, you may be able to secure admission to CSE or ECE under the domicile quota.
