Hii..My daughter got 93 percentile General Category in JEE January attempt. Please guide regarding her chances of getting good college. Also please suggest what other entrance exam she should fill apart from JEE April attempt.

Ans: Monika Madam, you have not mentioned your Home State. Anyway, coming to your question. Providing information about chances of getting particular NITs/Branches based on your daughter's percentile & based on her category such as General, SC, ST, OBC etc. can be challenging. Instead, please follow these steps: 1. Calculate your daughter's approximate All India Rank (AIR) based on her percentile using a Google search. 2. As mentioned in several my previous responses, check the JoSAA opening and closing ranks for 2024 to get a general idea of the institutes and branches your daughter might be eligible for, based on her category (Open/SC/ST/EWS etc). Make sure you fill in your preferences accordingly during the actual JoSAA counselling process after JEE Advanced. 3. To better understand the JoSAA counselling process, I recommend watching an EduJob360 video if time permits. 4. Additionally, it’s advisable to appear for 3-4 more entrance exams (if you can can afford it) as backups, such as your State's Engineering Entrance Exam (like COMEDK) or by participating in counselling process of your State with JEE Main Score (whichever is/Relying only on JEE may limit your options, so it's good to have a broader range of choices to ensure you select the most suitable path for you. All the Best for Your Prosperous Future.

Thank you so much for detailed reply. Her Home state is Chandigarh/Punjab.
Ans: Welcome Madam. Your Daughter can participate in Punjab State's Counselling Process. If you / your daughter are mentally prepared for Southern India, can even apply for COMEDK for Colleges in Bengaluru, PES University of Bengaluru, can participate in JAC-Delhi Counselling Process with JEE Score , can attempt the Entrance exams of Manipal, VIT etc. which also have Campuses in Northern India too.
