What are the best colleges for a student with a 96% in state 2nd PUC exam and a K CET rank of 16000?

Hello sir,my son successfully completed the state 2nd puc exam,scoring 96 percent in the board exam.His kcet rank would be around 16000 can you suggest the some best colleges for him

My son secured 97.48 percentile and 39505 crl rank in jee mains and 87.83 % in class 12th (PUC) in Karnataka, pls suggest some good colleges.

Ans: Madam,

Congrats to your Son for scoring 97.48 percentile in his JEE-Main. Hope he would have appeared in KCET & COMEDK also. You have NOT mentioned in which Branch (CSE, ECE, EEE etc.), your Son is interested in?

Anyway, some of the top-ranked Private Colleges he can target is RV, BMS, MS Ramaiah, Dayanand, PES etc. for the Branches like ECE, EEE, IT etc. Getting admission into CSE (Core) at these colleges will be slightly difficult due to tough competition. Or, if you can afford for, please try for Management Quota (MQ).

Whatever Institute / University & Branch he chooses, he should keep upgrading his skills from his 1st year itself till he goes for Campus Placement in his last year, from NPTEL, Internshala etc. and / or any other online platforms, recommended by his College Faculties, to be COMPETENT among other Students.

Hi Sir, My son got 1490 rank in COMEDK, 2045 in KCET, 2165 in Manipal entrance, 254 marks BITSAT, 44K in JEE mains. Home state is Karnataka General category. Pls suggest the best college for my son.

Ans: Compared to COMEDK, competition for getting admission through KCET is more for top colleges in Bengaluru. Prefer COMEDK Admission for RVCE, BMS, MS Ramaiah, BIT etc. (more options for 1490 Rank). But the only difference between COMEDK & KCET admission is, fees will be more through COMEDK, compared to KCET which you please keep in mind. All The BEST for your Son’s Bright Future.
