Hello Sara here As I was a meet dropper and scored 533 Now I am not eligible for govt seat So decided to take btech food technology as career after this course what are the career options and if you guys have any suggestions please let me know

Ans: Hi Sara,
You mentioned that you are a NEET dropper. Why don't you go for repeating the same instead of changing your choice? Surely, you will get a medical seat.

Sir I have completed my b.tech in food technology in 2018. I want to continue my education and pursue PhD in food technology. Would it be wise to go for MSC in food tech?..for personal reasons I can't go for m.tech outside my hometown as there are no Google colleges here that offer m.tech in food tech. Or should I apply for RRB NTPC exam. Would have gone for RRB JE but there is no place for a food tech graduate as far as I know. Do need your advice sir.

My daughter has just finished class 12. She was planning medical line, but didn't score well in NEET. She's now thinking of BTech food technology. How do we go about it? She hadn't given any entrance exams on the engineering side. She has a score of 2000 in IMU.

Ans: Admission to Food Technology programs requires passing entrance exams that vary by state and institution. Some popular exams include JEE Main, GATE, BITSAT, MHT-CET, MCAER CET, GPAT, and NEET. Hope your daughter might have appeared for a state-level entrance exam. If so, on that basis, you can apply for a food technology course. But what was the purpose of appearing in the IMU exam is not clear from your question.

Dear Sir, I have taken admission in PES RR AIML via JEE Mains route but I wish to contest through the KEA KCET route as well. I am expecting that I will get either PES EC AIML or PES EC CSE in Round 2 in KEA KCET too. PES has given a deadline of surrendering the JEE Mains seat by 7th July. However, the catch is that I don't think the KEA Round 2 counselling will happen before that and unfortunately I cannot surrender the seat before Round 2 which will happen after 7th July. Based on your past experience, do you really think PES will really forfeit the first year fee of 5 lakh as they keep saying it is Management discretion whether to offer refund or not. Any guidance provided will be much appreciated. Thank you.

I'm sorry to say that we don't have any updates regarding the admission cancellation and fee refund policy of any private institute. It would be better to speak in person with the admission committee for the latest updates. If the terms and conditions are favorable, then proceed with the admission; otherwise, reconsider your admission decision. If you are certain that you may secure a seat via KEA KCET, then there is no need to worry about PES admission cancellation. Wait for a few days and then make your final decision.

My daughter got 89.86 percentile in MHT CET. Any changes to get CSE in COEP, PICT, VJTI, SPIT in SC category. or Chemical Engg. in ICT. Actually, she is interested in Aerospace Engg. and Petrochemical Engg. but unfortunately, no colleges for these courses in Maharashtra

The chances of securing a seat in the mentioned colleges are moderate to slim. It may be advisable to consider the CSE or chemical branch to explore additional options. In tier 2 or 3 colleges, your daughter might gain admission to CSE or computer-related branches. You can also pursue management quota for CSE in a reputable private college if she is genuinely interested in that field. Additionally, you will need to leave Maharashtra for Aerospace and Petro Engineering.

Dear Sir, We are from Mumbai & fall in general category. My son has scored 99.1755006 percentile in MHTCET. He wants to study CSE for his BTech. What are the chances to get a seat in either VJTI or COEP or SPIT. In addition he has already secured a seat in VIT for CSE core in Chennai campus under Category 2. If we get seat in either of the above 3 colleges, should we prefer them over VIT. We are also participating in Josaa rounds but expect a little chance as JEE CRL was 63337 & Adance rank was 25656. He is also trying in Bitsat 2nd attempt. Kindly guide as we are getting confused. Also, please let me know if domicile certificate is mandatory to take admission in Maharashtra colleges as my son does not have it. However, I am having my domicile based on which my daughter took admussion for BArch in Mumbai college in 2019.

(1) The chances are strong of getting CSE in one of the mentioned colleges, i.e., COEP, VJTI, and SPIT.
(2) Consider dropping VIT if your son secures a seat in one of the mentioned colleges.
(3) With the mentioned JEE rank, the chances of admission to NITs or IITs are moderate to slim.
(4) Wait for the BITSAT second attempt result. If it turns out positive with a high percentile, then the BITSAT option will be available to your son.
(5) If your son does not have a domicile certificate, then it is required for admission. If you have it, then it is sufficient.

How is the Amrita University Amrita puri Campus compared to VIT Vellore. My daughter is getting ECE at VIT Vellore and Cs Cyber Security at Amrita puri campus. Which shall we prefer. We belong to New Delhi.

There was no harm in sharing the actual percentile with us. The term "low" does not clearly indicate how low it is. Even with a low percentile, one can secure a seat in a reputed college via management or NRI quota. It would be better to pursue this option instead of considering a gap year. You can also explore different career paths at this stage since many options are available. You might consider B.Sc. or commerce options as well. Please speak in person with a counselor for proper guidance.
