Hello sir.my sir is offered admission in B.Tech VLSI in Jamia milia university ( self finance seat) but he is keen in taking a drop and prepare for IIT JEE and wants to get cse. sir guide about future prospects of VLSI from jamia.iis is better to take a drop or get admission in Jamia?

Ans: Hi Chetann. Congratulations on getting a seat in JMU @ VLSI. You have not mentioned his current score i.e. JEE 2024. Taking a drop would be recommended under special conditions. Existing Score, financial condition, success rate, the patience of the student during repeat etc, etc. Very few students succeeded after taking the drop. The failure rate is almost 99.99%. Taking a drop would be your self-risk. VLSI is also a good option over CSE. But talk with your son very closely. Take the opinion of honest teachers who taught him and take the decision to go for JEE 2025.

Hello sir.thank you very much for your response. My son jee score was 94 percentile 95000rank and score in jee advanced was 80. finance is not an issue sir.
Ans: Hi Considering the previous JEE score and rank, you and your son may think about taking a drop. If finance is not an issue and your son is mentally ready to repeat and has full confidence that he can score well in 2025, give him one chance to prove himself. But while repeating, always remain with him and do not pressurize. Let us hope, he may fulfill his dreams earliest. Thanks
