Hello sir, my son got 97.08 percentile in jee mains, should we wait for csab round for admission in iiit's or we should join any good private college. He has got 29025 rank in Vitee and 10693 in Amrita Univ Aeee.

Ans: You can take the risk of waiting for CSAB rounds. Meanwhile, keep safer backups like VIT Chennai or Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham active until CSAB results are finalized.

In your opinion will it be worth waiting for admission in iiits tier 2 like sonipat, una, dharwad, kottayam.

Ans: Yes, you can wait. But if you feel unsafe, you can take temporary admission to the preferred college and branch, assuming that if you get admission via CSAB, you may lose some amount paid. Some private institutes/universities refund the maximum amount, deducting an administrative charge. But you have to talk with them clearly about the refund of fees at the time of cancellation of admission. Many parents do this exercise, hoping that at most they will lose some amount!

Ans: Depends upon his interest in CSE or ECE or any other Stream. As he has scored above 99 percentile in JEE-Main & 9710 in Advanced, wherever he joins, he will be able to shine. Some factors to take final decision (1) Which Stream he is interested in? (2) He prefers Institute over Stream or Stream over Institute? (3) Location preference. Ans: It is better to choose a reputable NIT/IIIT over a typical private college, even with a non-core branch, unless your son is specifically committed to CSE/ECE. Choose a private college if it is highly rated!

My daughter has been offered at VIT Chennai CSE, SRM main campus CSE, UPSE CSE, Thapar Chemical. Also we may get Manipal main campus CSE. Please suggest the preffered order in terms of reputation and possible placements. We are based in New Delhi.

If you're trying to compare courses like Computer Science Engineering (CSE) or Chemical Engineering with different institutions, here are my predictions:

- Thapar University is not a strong option for Chemical Engineering.
- For Computer Science Engineering, Manipal University is the best choice. Since you're from New Delhi, their offerings may align better with your needs than those of other institutions.

Ans: Chances of CSE @ RVCE are slim but possible in lower CSE specializations, while MSRIT CSE may be possible.

Hello sir, I'm a student residing in New Delhi. I passed 12th standard in 2025. This year, I got 93.04 percentile in JEE Mains examination. I have currently 3 engineering options available - 1) BE in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence in Thapar 2) BTech in Mathematics and Computing in JIIT, Noida 3) BTech in CSE in VIT Vellore campus in category 5. Our main factors in this decision are the future of BE in Robotics and AI being recognized as a valid qualification in government jobs for ISRO, DRDO, etc and on the other hand the VIT cat 5 CSE is also very expensive. Currently, we have the option of paying an advance amount and go for branch upgrade in Thapar to more CS oriented branch or pay the advance amount for VIT CSE. Sir, kindly suggest which would be a better option. Since I have PCMB, in the meanwhile I'm also simultaneously preparing for re-NEET examination.

Ans: First, fix your goal. Preparation for NEET and studying engineering at the same time is not possible. You can go for BE in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence in Thapar. Donot consider govt. job only. Artificial Intelligence is present and Robotics will be the future.

Ans: Yes, she has fair chances @ VIT EEE in Chennai campus and possible/slight chances for ECE in Category-5, but ECE Category-4 looks difficult. Keep a close eye on the counselling process; any magic can happen at any time.

Ans: Preference order may be: COE/CSE @ Thapar > Maths & Computing @ Jaypee > CSE @ VIT. Cat 5. Robotics & AI is promising but less proven than CSE/COE for placements and some government recruitments, so choose it only if you are comfortable with a slightly higher risk. Hence, keep Robotics & AI as a backup only if an upgrade does not happen.

Namaskar Sir, Actually I have a big confusion in choosing college for my better future. I am getting enc at thapar and most likely it will upgrade to COE as the difference is of 3.2k rank only. Also I got 28671 rank in viteee so I am getting vit vellore cat 5 cse core. Also sir I am scoring around 103/180 in comedk I want only Cse related branches SO WHAT SHOULD I PREFER SIR IF FEES IS NOT THAT BIG ISSUE..... ALSO THERE IS MY BITSAT ON 27TH MAY... BUT CSE THERE IS SO HARD TO GRAB ....

Ans: Prefer COE/ENC at Thapar first. Then, good COMEDK colleges, RVCE/BMS/MSRIT, may be CSE specialisation or core branches. Then CSE at VIT Vellore under cat-5. If you crack BITS, choose BITS over all. If you think BITS may be hard for you, then prefer Thapar without hesitation over VIT cat-5. The final choice and decision will be yours.

SIR IF I GET ANY BRANCH IN BITS SHOULD I TAKE IT DUE TO ITS PREMIUM TAG OR JUST CONSIDER CSE ONLY IN THAPAR ETC....

Ans: If CSE or CSE-specialisation is getting @ BITS, then consider it. Else prefer COE/ENC @ Thapar.

Ans: Prefer any top core branch in top NITs than BS-MS Biomedical @ IIT Madras if you are not stuck to the IIT brand. The final decision and choice will be yours.

Sir, I secured a 92.67 percentile in JEE Mains (2026) under the OBC-NCL category. Which NITs or IIITs offer admission opportunities for me? Furthermore, considering I am from Bihar, which of these options would be the best choice for me?

Ans: You have a chance at lower branches in mid/lower NITs like Patna, Jamshedpur, and Agartala, and at IIITs like Bhagalpur and Ranchi. The best practical choice is to prefer IIIT Bhagalpur (CSE/IT) or a lower branch at NIT Patna, given the Bihar quota advantage.
