Hello sir... I got 86.7%ile in jee mains (CRL 196706, EWS rank 28516, girl) and secured 93..2% in my 12th Cbse board.I have haryana domicile and want to pursue btech in cse, it or ece. What are my chances of getting a good govt college and is there any chance in CSAB for NITs or IIITs ? Thankyou

Ans: Lavisha, With an EWS Home-State rank of 28,516, securing Computer Science seats via CSAB Special in premier NITs under Home-State EWS quotas is challenging, as CSE at NIT Kurukshetra closed near 8 198 for general HS and the EWS HS cutoff typically tracks within 25 000–35 000—just within reach. Electronics & Communication Engineering at Kurukshetra closed around HS?Open 9 692–15 127, with EWS HS often extending to 45 000–57 000, making ECE a viable target. In JoSAA 2025, IIIT Kota’s HS-EWS CSE cutoff was 39,410, which places your rank comfortably within the acceptable range. Beyond these, peripheral GFTIs such as CIT Kokrajhar (CSE up to ~150 500 CRL) and Assam University, Silchar (CSE ~75 981) admit EWS candidates with ranks well above 28 000. All these institutes meet AICTE/NIRF accreditation, maintain ≥70 percent placement consistency, feature modern labs, active MoUs for internships, and have outcome-based curricula.

Recommendation: CSAB offers special preferences for assured entry into Electronics & Communication Engineering at NIT Kurukshetra under HS-EWS, followed by listing CSE at IIIT Kota and CSE at peripheral GFTIs like CIT Kokrajhar and Assam University. Simultaneously, pursue Haryana state-counselling seats at PEC Kurukshetra and Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University for core-branch safety. However, have 2-3 Private Engineering Colleges also as back ups with your JEE Score instead of relying only on CSAB. All the BEST for a Prosperous Future!

I have got 92.46 percentile in JEE MAINS 2025 Jan Attempt. I am of OBC Category and belong to West Bengal state. What are my chances of getting BTech. CSE or BTech. in Maths amd computing in NIT/IIIT/IIEST??
Ans: How to Predict Your Chances of Admission After JEE Main Results – A Step-by-Step Guide

Once the January JEE Main session results are declared, many students and JEE applicants start asking common questions about eligibility for specific institutes (NITs, IIITs, GFTIs, etc.) based on their percentile, category, preferred branch, and home state.

Providing precise admission chances for each student can be challenging. Some reputed educational websites offer ‘College Predictor’ tools where you can check possible college options based on your percentile, category, and preferences. However, for a more accurate understanding, here’s a simple yet effective 9-step method using JoSAA’s past-year opening and closing ranks. This approach gives you a fair estimate (though not 100% exact) of your admission chances based on the previous year’s data.

Step-by-Step Guide to Check Your Admission Chances Using JoSAA Data
Step 1: Collect Your Key Details
Before starting, note down the following details:

Your JEE Main percentile
Your category (General-Open, SC, ST, OBC-NCL, EWS, PwD categories)
Preferred institute types (NIT, IIIT, GFTI)
Preferred locations (or if you're open to any location in India)
List of at least 3 preferred academic programs (branches) as backups (instead of relying on just one option)
Step 2: Access JoSAA’s Official Opening & Closing Ranks
Go to Google and type: JoSAA Opening & Closing Ranks 2024
Click on the first search result (official JoSAA website).
You will land directly on JoSAA’s portal, where you can enter your details to check past-year cutoffs.
Step 3: Select the Round Number
JoSAA conducts five rounds of counseling.
For a safer estimate, choose Round 4, as most admissions are settled by this round.
Step 4: Choose the Institute Type
Select NIT, IIIT, or GFTI, depending on your preference.
If you are open to all types of institutes, check them one by one instead of selecting all at once.
Step 5: Select the Institute Name (Based on Location)
It is recommended to check institutes one by one, based on your preferred locations.
Avoid selecting ‘ALL’ at once, as it may create confusion.
Step 6: Select Your Preferred Academic Program (Branch)
Enter the branches you are interested in, one at a time, in your preferred order.
? Step 7: Submit and Analyze Results
After selecting the relevant details, click the ‘SUBMIT’ button.
The system will display Opening & Closing Ranks of the selected institute and branch for different categories.
Step 8: Note Down the Opening & Closing Ranks
Maintain a notebook or diary to record the Opening & Closing Ranks for each institute and branch you are interested in.
This will serve as a quick reference during JoSAA counseling.
Step 9: Adjust Your Expectations on a Safer Side
Since Opening & Closing Ranks fluctuate slightly each year, always adjust the numbers for safety.
Example Calculation:
If the Opening & Closing Ranks for NIT Delhi | Mechanical Engineering | OPEN Category show 8622 & 26186 (for Home State), consider adjusting them to 8300 & 23000 (on a safer side).
If the Female Category rank is 34334 & 36212, adjust it to 31000 & 33000.
Follow this approach for Other State candidates and different categories.
Pro Tip: Adjust your expected rank slightly lower than the previous year's cutoffs for realistic expectations during JoSAA counseling.

Can This Method Be Used for JEE April & JEE Advanced?
Yes! You can repeat the same steps after your April JEE Main results to refine your admission possibilities.
You can also follow a similar process for JEE Advanced cutoffs when applying for IITs.

90%in jee mains female Which nit iiit or gfti can I get. Is there any chances of getting AI or CSE if yes then which college It can be and if I want any good nit or iiit so which branch can I get in csab till which round
Ans: Kavita, With a 90 percentile in JEE Main, your approximate All-India OBC-NCL female category rank would be around 50,000–55,000, making admission to top NITs or IIITs in CSE or AI branches highly unlikely, but some newer or remote campuses remain possible. For CSE through CSAB special rounds, NIT Uttarakhand (Other-State, OBC-NCL female closing rank ~45,566 in 2024) and NIT Sikkim (Other-State, OBC-NCL female closing rank ~53,286 in 2024) are attainable by Round II or III. AI & ML seats are more limited, with NIT Sikkim closing at around 78,145 for OBC-NCL female category in 2024, while IIIT Kota and IIIT Nagpur may close AI around 60,000–70,000, making them potential targets in early rounds. Among GFTIs, some like BIT Mesra offer AI/ML but with higher cutoffs (~127,920). Given branch popularity, CSE at NIT Uttarakhand is the most dependable CSAB option. Recommendation: Pursue CSAB counselling with focus on CSE at NIT Uttarakhand and NIT Sikkim in early special rounds while preparing for backup private options. Private colleges accepting OBC-NCL female candidates with approximately 90 percentile through CSAB include Chandigarh University, Mohali for B.Tech CSE with AI & ML. Lovely Professional University, Jalandhar for B.Tech CSE with AI/ML specialization. Amity University, Noida for B.Tech Computer Science & Engineering with AI stream. Sharda University, Greater Noida for B.Tech CSE–AI & Data Science. Galgotias University, Greater Noida for B.Tech AI & Data Science. Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, Noida for B.Tech CSE–AI. Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology, Patiala for B.Tech CSE–AI/ML. SRM University, Delhi–NCR for B.Tech AI & ML. ABES Engineering College, Ghaziabad for B.Tech CSE with AI. Indraprastha Institute of Technology & Management, Delhi for B.Tech CSE–AI. Backup private options excluding state-level exam seats include Lovely Professional University, Amity Noida, Sharda University, Jaypee Institute, and Galgotias University, which admit OBC-NCL candidates with ranks up to approximately 100,000. All the BEST for a Prosperous Future!

Money
Dear Naveenn Ji I am 61 yrs old-retired person. I had cardiac procedure with pacemaker 3 yrs back. I had one Medical insurance which was quite useful and was just sufficient at that time to meet expenses. Now I want to enhance the limit say from 10 lac to 20 lac which is not happening with the existing one. Can you suggest what best can be done and how for medical expenses
Ans: We will need to check with different health insurance companies and share your case history in detail. There are chances of getting a policy, but it depends on the underwriter’s assessment. Age, any other medical conditions, pre-existing diseases and the severity of the earlier cardiac issue all play a role.

Sometimes insurers give a counter-offer with a higher premium, a co-payment clause or a permanent exclusion for heart-related conditions while covering everything else.
We also need to check whether porting is possible or if a fresh policy is better.

One important point: please do not cancel your existing policy under any circumstance until a new cover is issued and active.

Alongside insurance, it is always wise to keep a reasonable emergency fund in liquid form such as fixed deposits or liquid mutual funds to handle any immediate medical requirement.

please feel free to ask any further questions you can connect us 044-31683550 if facing any problem

Sir I have 5 subject in Nios board class 12 in 2026 and the subject names is Physics, Maths, English, Physical Education and in place of Chemistry is Biotechnology or vocational subject Valid for JOSSA 2026 So it will be eligible for Jossa Counselling For BTech in IITs or NITs+System According to JOSSA COUNSELLING 2025 Annexure 2(a)Annexure 2(b) The marks scored in the following five subjects will be considered for calculating the aggregate marks and the cut-off marks for fulfilling the top 20 percentile criterion. Candidates must also pass each of the following subjects in Class XII (or equivalent) to qualify for admission to the NIT+ System: o For B.E./B.Tech. programmes i. Physics ii. Any one of Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Technical Vocation subject iii. Mathematics iv. A language (if the candidate has taken more than one language, then the language with the higher marks will be considered) v. Any subject other than the above four (the subject with the highest marks will be considered). Please Guide Me Sir
Ans: Your question is unclear because you have combined many queries into one. However, I will attempt to answer based on my understanding. Please do not mind; from the question, I can guess that you may be facing problems with the subjects, either in terms of understanding or from other aspects.

Your NIOS 2026 combination (Physics, Maths, English, Physical Education, and Biotechnology instead of Chemistry) complies with JoSAA Annexure 2(a)/(b) requirements, so you will be eligible for JoSAA counselling for BTech in IITs/NIT+ system, subject to passing all subjects and meeting the JEE Advanced and overall eligibility/percentile criteria. However, it is highly recommended to refer to the latest brochure published by NTA on the official website of JEE.

Good luck.
