Hello sir, I cleared my jee mains examination 2025 but I got compartment in 2 subjects in class 12th can I still be able to get college even after giving my compartment examination?

Ans: Hello Warlord.
Yes, you are eligible to get admission in the college with a few conditions, as (1) you clear all subjects in 12th before JoSAA counselling/admission deadlines, (2) you submit the updated marksheet on time.(3) But if you fail to do this, you won't be eligible for NITs or equivalent Govt colleges, but doors will remain open for private colleges.

If I failed in class 12 in one subject this year. but passed in jee mains. can i still give advanced? considering that I will pass boards in compartment exams with minimum of 75%. Compartment will be in July and its result gets declared in August. Even if im eligible, wont it affect my councelling process. as it is in june july only?

Ans: Hello Viky
You are eligible for JEE (Adv) and there will be no effect on the counseling process provided that you must fulfill all the criteria laid by the IIT institutions.

In 2024 in 12th I got compartment on maths then again got compartment in compartment exam also gave jee mains but didn't qualify for JEE advance , then next year 2025 i appeared as a private candidate through essential repeat category then pass with aggregate for jee mains and this year also give jee mains but didn't qualify for JEE advance 2025 ,. So questions is I filled in jee mains form this year as a appearing candidate , am i eligible for Jee advance 2026

Ans: Yes, you are eligible to appear for JEE Advanced 2026 as your first valid Class 12 passing year is 2025 (essential repeat/private candidate), provided you are among the top 2,50,000 in JEE Main 2026 and meet the age and other eligibility criteria. Your compartment and essential repeat status do not disqualify you, as long as you clear all subjects and meet the rank cutoff in JEE Main 2026. Following the clarification of your inquiry and taking into consideration your academic success for the past one to two years, I would recommend that you consider alternative options (in addition to engineering streams). If it is at all possible, you should take a psychometric test online to determine which other career paths (than engineering) are the most appropriate for you. All the best for your bright future!

I gave my class 12th exam from cbse board in 2023. but I did not gave jee mains in 2023 and 2024 . Then I retak whole class 12th from bihar board and gave 12th exam in 2025. Subsequently I also gave jee mains in 2025. Now my question is will am I eligible for jee mains and advanced in 2026 ?

Ans: Pranav, Yes, you are eligible to appear for JEE Main and JEE Advanced in 2026 after repeating Class 12 from the Bihar board and passing in 2025, regardless of your earlier CBSE attempt in 2023. As per the official eligibility, candidates can attempt JEE Main for three consecutive years starting from the year of their latest qualifying exam, and only those who passed Class 12 in 2024, 2025, or are appearing in 2026 are eligible for JEE Main 2026. For JEE Advanced 2026, you must have passed Class 12 for the first time in 2025 or 2026 and be among the top 2,50,000 JEE Main qualifiers, with a maximum of two consecutive attempts allowed. Repeating Class 12 and appearing for the exam in 2025 resets your eligibility window, so you can validly apply for both JEE Main and Advanced in 2026, provided all other criteria are met. The recommendation is to ensure your 2025 marksheet and exam details are correctly entered during registration, as your 2023 CBSE attempt will not impact your eligibility for 2026 attempts. Hi My son has scored 264 in JEE advanced. We are expecting rank under 200. We live in Pune. IIT-Bombay CSE won't be possible for him but we considering IIT Madras CSE. IIT Delhi CSE or IIT Bombay ECE. We are leaning towards IIT Madras CSE mainly because 1. He likes CS 2. Madras seems safer and more spacious and healthier than IIT Delhi Do you have any suggestions on how to evaluate these options or any other option we should consider?

Ans: CSE @ IIT Madras is an excellent choice. While ECE @ IIT Bombay is better only if he is open to core electronics alongside coding.

Ans: He can hope for branches like Electrical, MnC, Engineering Physics, or lower-branch options in old IITs, and CSE and allied branches in the newer IITs.

Sir, Kindly suggest the better option between IIIT Allahabad (IT) and MNNIT Allahabad ( CSE) for admission through Jossa 2026.JEE mains CRL 5344 home state UP

Ans: Preference order may be: CSE @ MNNIT > IT @ IIIT Allahabad. Your preference order may be different for many reasons.

My son has got VIT vellore CSE with Bioinformatics in cat 5 . He is PCM student. We are having doubt regarding bio in CSE and its placement etc. Can you pl guide .

Ans: There is no issue with the specified CSE+Bio branch w.r.t. PCM students. Placements are quite good, but there is an issue with the biology component for the students.

Sir, my COMEDK exam was in the first shift on 9th May this year. I scored 85 marks. What is the rank that I can expect, and what will be my chances to get CSE Core or CSE Spec in SIT, Tumkur?

Ans: You can hope for CSE specialisation, plus a possible outside chance for CSE at SIT in later rounds. (No suairity). Keep an alternative backup ready.

My son getting thapar cse n lnmiit cse most probably. He got 99.2 in jee mains general from haryana. Intrested in cse or it or any cs allued branch in jac delhi .pls guide . Shd we opt thapar cse as backup ?

Ans: He can hope CS-allied branches @ JAC Delhi (DTU/NSUT IT-SE-MnC), so keep Thapar/LNMIIT CSE as backup but prefer JAC Delhi if allotted.

I gave VITEEE and my rank is 31k i got phase 2 counselling i choose btech cse with specialisation in cat 2 and some cat 3 bt I didn’t get they told me to again participate in phase 3 will i get those branch in cat 3?

Ans: You still have a chance of securing a CSE specialisation in Cat-3 at VIT AP/Bhopal/Chennai in Phase-3, depending on seat availability. Keep a close eye on the counselling process.
