Hi sir, my daughter got VIT-29700 and Amrita- 10800 rank. Just would like to know if there is possibility of VIT Vellore and chennai for CSE, CSE(S) and ECE branches(under any of the categories) and secondly in Amrita the same branches can be available in Bangalore, Coimbatore and chennai? Ans: Balaji Sir, For VITEEE rank 29,700, VIT Vellore CSE/CSE-specialisation is difficult, but may be possible only in higher fee categories if seats move; ECE Vellore is more realistic in higher categories. VIT Chennai gives better chances: CSE specialisation/ECE are possible, and CSE core may be difficult but worth filling. VIT fee categories rise with rank, from Category 1 lowest to Category 5 highest. For AEEE rank 10,800, Amrita Coimbatore CSE core is tough, but CSE specialisation/ECE may be possible in later/slab rounds. Bengaluru and Chennai campuses offer better chances for CSE-specialisation and ECE, with CSE core also possible depending on seat movement. If you wish and if possible, have 2-3 more backup options of reputed other private colleges too. All the Best for Your Daughter's Prosperous Future!

My son jee rank 79 percentile in obc ncl. He got vit 34000 rank category 2 .and his bits first attempt results 83 marks sir please suggest me which collage is best for his for btec admission.

Ans: Nirmala Madam, please set aside BITS as your son's score is much on the lower side. With JEE Main 79 percentile + OBC-NCL, chances for NIT/IIIT/GFTI through JoSAA are very low, except maybe some lower GFTI/CSAB special-round branches. Still, he must participate in JoSAA/CSAB rounds. With VITEEE rank of approximately 34,000, he may not get CSE Vellore/Chennai even in Category 2, but can try VIT Chennai/AP/Bhopal CSE specialisations, and Vellore/Chennai ECE, EEE, Mechanical, Civil. It is advisable to have the 2-3 backup options of your son's State Counselling and reputed private colleges in and around your state. All the Best for Your Son's Prosperous Future!

My son got VITEEE 6414 we are from Bangalore . Please suggest if he will get cse in vellore location in category 1 or 2 or 3. Is CSE specialisations worth taking , how is IT branch?.

Ans: Krishna Sir, At VITEEE rank 6,414, your son has a good chance for VIT Vellore, but CSE Core Category 1 is unlikely; Category 2 may be difficult, while Category 3 is realistic depending on choice filling and seat movement. For CSE specialisations, chances are better—possibly Category 2/3. IT at Vellore is also a strong option, because many software recruiters treat CSE/IT/CSE-specialisation students similarly if coding, CGPA, and projects are strong. VIT’s official counselling allotment depends on rank, preference order, seat availability, and fees vary by category. VIT’s CDC (Career Development Centre) handles placements for Vellore, Chennai, AP and Bhopal, with common placement support across campuses. Preference: CSE Core Vellore > CSE Specialisation Vellore > IT Vellore > CSE Chennai. It is better to have the backup options of KCET/COMEDK also, as your son is based in Bengaluru. Vellore is better overall for brand, peer group, alumni and placement pull. Chennai is also strong, slightly less competitive, and good for CSE/ECE. VIT’s official placement tracker is common and updated by the CDC (Career Development Centre).

Ans: At AEEE rank 46,163, Amrita Coimbatore is difficult, especially for CSE/AI/ECE. Amrita says seat allotment depends on AEEE/JEE rank, preferences, seat availability, and it has no fixed cutoff system. It also states there is no Non-Scholarship Category this year. All admissions are under scholarship-based fee slabs. Realistic Coimbatore chances: only lower-demand branches, if seats remain, may be possible in later rounds. Better backups are Amritapuri, Bengaluru, Chennai, Amaravati for Mechanical, Civil, EEE, E&I, Chemical, and possibly lower-demand electronics branches.
