Sir My son got JEE mains 64% and CBSE 87%. He got B.TeCh Electrical and computer engineering in VIT and B.E computer science and engineering speclisation of AI&ML at Sathyabama University. Please advise which one he can choose?

Ans: Rajesh Sir, Choosing between VIT Vellore’s B.Tech in Electrical and Computer Engineering and Sathyabama’s B.E. CSE (AI & ML) depends on career priorities. VIT Vellore offers stronger institutional reputation (NIRF #11), higher average placements (?9.9 LPA), and broader industry connections (867+ recruiters like Amazon, Microsoft), though its Electrical and Computer Engineering program blends core electrical concepts with computing, potentially limiting direct entry into AI/ML roles. Sathyabama’s AI & ML specialisation provides focused curriculum on emerging tech domains like machine learning and data analytics, with placement averages of ?5.57 LPA and occasional high packages (up to ?41.2 LPA), but its higher fees (?14.2 lakh) and lower brand equity compared to VIT may affect ROI. If pursuing core AI/ML roles is a priority, Sathyabama’s niche training aligns better, but for overall engineering rigor, campus infrastructure, and placement diversity, VIT Vellore’s interdisciplinary program offers better long-term value despite the broader course scope. All the BEST for your Son's Admission & a Prosperous Future!
