Sir i got 113,478 rank in vit exam should I get cse in ap vit and i have applied to vit Mtech program, which I got 980 marks in ap intermediate board should I get any seat

Ans: With a VITEEE rank of 113,478, admission to CSE at VIT-AP or VIT Bangalore campus is highly unlikely due to the competitive cutoff ranks for these branches. Your son may consider other branches like Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical at VIT Bhopal or VIT Amaravati, where cutoffs are more relaxed. For M.Tech admission, the AP Intermediate board score does not play a role; eligibility depends on undergraduate qualifications and GATE scores. It is advisable to participate in counselling with flexible branch choices and consider related branches or campuses. Alternatively, exploring other reputed private universities with flexible admission criteria may be beneficial. Recommendation: Focus on securing admission in other branches or campuses at VIT or similar institutes for undergraduate studies and prepare for GATE for M.Tech admission after graduation. All the best for your son's admission and a bright future!

Sir I am asking about the 5years vit mtech program and how was the placements and through ipe marks they are considering this so I got 980 in it and what are the benefits to do this .tech and difference between the vit betch and 5years vit mtech program
Ans: The VIT B.Tech program offers a solid foundation in engineering over 4 years with broad exposure and good placements, suitable for students aiming for early entry into the industry. In contrast, the VIT Integrated M.Tech program is a 5-year course that combines undergraduate and postgraduate studies, focusing on advanced technical skills, research, and specialization in emerging fields like AI, Cyber Security, and Data Science. It offers the advantage of a dual degree, better industry collaborations, and enhanced placement prospects. Admission to the integrated M.Tech is based on 10+2 marks without an entrance exam, making it accessible for strong science students. Although it requires an additional year and higher fees, the M.Tech program provides a competitive edge for technical roles, research, and higher studies. For students aiming for deeper specialization, research, and better career growth, the integrated M.Tech is highly recommended. Those seeking quicker industry entry with a broad engineering base may prefer the B.Tech route. Recommendation: Choose the integrated M.Tech at VIT for advanced specialization and research opportunities; opt for B.Tech if you prefer a shorter duration and early career start.
