shall i go for cse or cse in sybersecurity from srm university

Ans: Siddhant, SRM University’s CSE and CSE (Cyber Security) programs both offer strong academic foundations, modern infrastructure, and high placement rates—typically around 80–90% for the main campus and 100% for the Andhra Pradesh campus in recent years. The core CSE program provides broader exposure to a wide range of computer science domains and diverse job roles, while the Cyber Security specialization equips students with focused expertise in areas like ethical hacking, cyber forensics, and secure system design, aligning with the growing demand for cybersecurity professionals. However, most placements for both streams are in general software development and IT roles, with only a small proportion of cybersecurity-specific job offers; top recruiters remain the same for both branches. Both courses are regularly updated to reflect industry trends, but CSE offers more flexibility if you wish to explore multiple tech careers or higher studies, whereas CSE (Cyber Security) is ideal if you are committed to a cybersecurity career from the outset. The recommendation is to choose core CSE for broader opportunities unless you have a strong, clear interest in specializing in cybersecurity from the beginning. All the BEST for the Admission & a Prosperous Future!
