Sir my son is getting mechanical and civil in all top IITs but in iit ropar he is getting AI and data science which is to be opted for better career

Ans: IIT Ropar's B.Tech in Artificial Intelligence & Data Engineering (AIDE), established in 23-2024 as a newly dedicated School of AI & DE, is delivered by PhD-qualified faculty in cutting-edge AI/ML, neural networks, computer vision and data-science labs, backed by a Rs.300+ crore Centre of Excellence in AI and strong industry partnerships. The AI/data-science sector in India is experiencing explosive growth with 33.4% year-on-year hiring increases and projected 20% job growth in 2025, offering career prospects ranging from Rs.6-36 LPA and addressing critical demand-supply gaps of 60-73% in ML engineering and data science roles.

Final recommendation: For superior career prospects, and alignment with India's fastest-growing tech sector, recommendation is IIT Ropar AI & Data Science (though established in 2023-24). The program offers specialized AI training, and access to emerging technologies with significant long-term growth potential compared to traditional core engineering branches facing placement challenges and market saturation. All the BEST for Admission & a Prosperous Future!

Sir , My Son Got Chance in Mathematics & Computer in IIT INDORE, also a chance in BS IN IISC . Which is good , plz suggest.
Ans: IIT Indore’s B.Tech in Mathematics & Computing is a highly ranked program (NIRF 16, EduRank 19th for CS in India) with a 90% placement rate, average packages between ?18–25 lakh, and top recruiters like Oracle, Nvidia, Google, Goldman Sachs, and Salesforce. The curriculum blends advanced mathematics, computer science, and data analytics, offering strong career prospects in both tech and finance sectors. Faculty are experienced and research-active, and infrastructure is modern. IISc Bangalore’s BS program is globally renowned (QS Top 100 for CS, US News #612 globally), research-focused, and offers unmatched academic rigor and interdisciplinary exposure, with most graduates opting for higher studies or research careers. Placements for the BS program are limited (median ?22–30 lakh, but only a few undergraduates placed), as the majority pursue MS/PhD at top global institutions. IISc’s faculty, research opportunities, and industry connections are world-class, and the campus environment is highly stimulating for academically inclined students.

The recommendation is to choose IISc Bangalore BS if your son is passionate about research, higher studies, or interdisciplinary science, while IIT Indore Mathematics & Computing is preferable for direct industry placements and a strong mix of mathematics and computer science. All the BEST for the Admission & a Prosperous Future!

Dating, Relationships Expert - Answered on Dec 04, 2025

Relationship
My married ex still texts me for comfort. Because of him, I am unable to move on. He makes me feel guilty by saying he got married out of family pressure. His dad is a cardiac patient and mom is being treated for cancer. He comforts me by saying he will get separated soon and we will get married because he only loves me. We have been in a relationship for 14 years and despite everything we tried, his parents refused to accept me, so he chose to get married to someone who understands our situation. I don't know when he will separate from his wife. She knows about us too but she comes from a traditional family. She also confirmed there is no physical intimacy between them. I trust him, but is it worth losing my youth for him? Honestly, I am worried and very confused.
Ans: Dear Anonymous,
I understand how difficult it is to let go of a relationship you have built from scratch, but is it really how you want to continue? It really seems to be going nowhere. His parents are already in bad health and he married someone else for their happiness. Does it seem like he will be able to leave her? So many people’s happiness and lives depend on this one decision. I think it’s about time you and your BF have a clear conversation about the same. If he can’t give a proper timeline, please try to understand his situation. But also make sure he understands yours and maybe rethink this equation. It really isn’t healthy. You deserve a love you can have wholly, and not just in pieces, and in the shadows.

Hope this helps
