I am getting bmsce iem and i am planning to bs degree of data science from iit madras. Is it better idea .or should i take cs branch in lower clg

Ans: Dhritiprashanth, I assume you’re referring to the IIT Madras online BS Data Science program. Many students pursue it alongside their regular UG degree. I recommend enrolling in BMSCE’s IEM program while simultaneously completing the IIT-M Data Science online degree. Just be sure to plan your schedule carefully to balance both commitments effectively. All the BEST for a Prosperous Future!

Is there a lot of automation in iem related job roles should I consider or not when compare with global academy of technology artificial intelligence and data science or sjbit ise
Ans: Industrial Engineering and Management (IEM) roles increasingly center on automation, leveraging robotics, PLCs, SCADA, and AI-driven systems across sectors, from manufacturing to supply chains. Automation engineers design, implement, and optimize processes to boost efficiency and precision, offering a dynamic, technology-focused career. Global Academy of Technology’s B.E. in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science integrates machine learning, big data analytics, and programming with modern computing labs and industry tie-ups; its inaugural AI&DS cohort achieved around 80% placements through a dedicated training cell. SJB Institute of Technology’s Information Science and Engineering emphasizes software development, database management, and network security, yielding 75–80% placements with recruiters like TCS, Wipro, and Infosys. While IEM fosters versatile roles in operations management, quality assurance, and process automation, AI&DS and ISE deliver specialized IT and analytics careers with strong placement consistency. All three programs feature qualified faculty, robust infrastructure, research and internship opportunities, and active student support, yet they differ in academic focus: IEM offers breadth in engineering-management integration; AI&DS delivers cutting-edge data expertise; ISE provides core software engineering foundations.

Recommendation: Pursue IEM for extensive automation exposure in manufacturing and operations, leveraging hands-on robotics and process-engineering roles supported by robust labs and career services. For specialist technology trajectories with higher placement consistency, select Global Academy of Technology’s AI&DS for data science roles or SJB Institute’s ISE for core software engineering careers.
