My daughter is presently pursuing BSc Hons in microbiology first year in Delhi University, what else she should do to get a good scope in placement and how is this field for her future should she go in research or get job which will be better for he??

Ans: Hello.
DU is a good university to learn. To get a good score for placement in the future, your daughter must work on the following areas-
(1) Do internships in labs, hospitals, or biotech firms.
(2) Consider certifications in clinical microbiology, biotechnology, or quality control.
(3) Focus on lab techniques (PCR, microscopy), and software tools for data analysis.
(4) Consider pursuing an M.Sc. or Ph.D. for research roles and advanced career options.

B.Sc. Hons in Microbiology offers good placement opportunities in sectors like:
Pharmaceuticals, Biotechnology, Food Industry, Healthcare (Diagnostic Labs, Hospitals), Research Institutes

From a future point of view, she has a bright future if she goes into research. As a female candidate, research is a good option and the stability in the job is a sure chance.

my daughter is doing MSc(last year) in Applied Microbiology from VIT,Vellore ,i am asking her to go for Higher Study but she is not interested, she wants to do job, please guide us
Ans: Hello Sisir,

First and foremost, thank you for getting in touch with us. It makes sense that you want the best for your daughter and want her to continue her education in Applied Microbiology. Making this choice, though, also requires taking into account your daughter's interests and inclinations. It's unlikely that she will be driven to put in the effort and attention necessary to excel in the program if she is not interested in pursuing further education.

It's crucial to talk openly and honestly with your daughter about her ambitions and desires for her career. Find out what she likes to do and what kind of workplace she prefers. You might look into several career opportunities in Applied Microbiology and associated sectors if she's interested in finding employment. With an MSc in Applied Microbiology, one can find employment in varied fields, such as regulatory affairs, production, quality control, and research & development.

Attending professional fairs, conferences, and seminars will help your daughter start networking and establishing contacts in the field. To add to her résumé and acquire professional experience, she may also want to look into internships or part-time positions.

In the end, your daughter's hobbies, goals, and career aspirations should guide the decision about whether to seek further education or a job. While you may support and guide your daughter as a parent, it's also crucial to accept her choices and give her the freedom to do so.

Sir the median package at ssnce for cse core is less than rvce ise .So does it make more viable option considering placement in mind .I have a dream of becoming software engineer from my childhood. But my seniors are advising for rvce ise.what to do should I follow my dream or placement.I am a Bangalore resident and Tamil is my mother tongue.
Ans: Ashwin, my son, graduated from RVCE in 2023 and secured employment through campus placement with a reputable software company. Despite being among the highest achievers in COMEDK, he opted for ECE instead of the more accessible CSE. We did not compel him to join CSE. Following his second year, he progressively shown an interest in software and obtained several certifications through NPTEL, Internshala, and similar platforms. Regarding his experience, while ISE is commendable, CSE is the superior option. Simply enter 'RV placement statistics 2024'. Select the initial result to get the Placement Statistics of RV directly. The top placements are for Computer Science Engineering, followed by Electronics and Communication Engineering, and then Information Science Engineering. The recommendations of your seniors, your personal interests, and the branch with the highest placement statistics are distinct considerations. Kindly review the Course Curriculum for both CSE and ISE and make a decision. Kindly review one of my detailed responses below, in which I have explicitly outlined the stages, recommendations, and methods that a first-year engineering student should adhere to till their fourth year for campus placement. All the BEST for Your Prosperous Future.
