Sir my daughter got bsc statistics in du while she was preparing for neet this year. She thought of taking one year drop for neet but she got chance here. Now everyone is telling me to send her in du . What should she do?

Ans: Hi Pratishruti
You did not mention the score of NEET 2024.
Everyone is telling you to send her to DU be because of his low score in NEET 2024 and not possible for her to crack the NEET 2025 with the required score.

To get a seat in MBBS, a candidate must have a score of around 600 or more than that.
The NEET cut-off is increasing year by year.
Drop is suggested, if a candidate has scored around or more than 500.

If your daughter has scored less in NEET 2024, then it would be advisable to op DU with BSc statistics.

Hello sir/ma'am, My daughter gave NEET UG this year, this was her 3rd attempt, but she didn't score enough to get a seat in government medical college. although she has taken admission in bsc microbiology in a local college but she is not satisfied with that college and doesn't want to pursue that course.We are really worried about her future.What should we do?Please guide us.

Ans: Sir,
GMC requires a very high score, if her interest is only medical then she can pursue it abroad.
Also apart from MBBS/BDS Medical career below are the other options you can explore.

B.Sc. courses: You can opt for B.Sc. courses in various subjects like physics, chemistry, biology, microbiology, biotech, etc.

Research: You can opt for research-oriented courses like M.Sc., Ph.D., etc. in your desired field of study.

Agricultural Science: You can opt for courses in agriculture like B.Sc. Agriculture, B.Tech. Agriculture, etc.

Environmental Science: You can opt for courses in environmental science like B.Sc. Environmental Science, M.Sc. Environmental Science, etc.

Forensic Science: You can opt for a career in forensic science by pursuing a B.Sc. in Forensic Science or M.Sc. in Forensic Science.

Pharmacy: You can opt for a career in pharmacy by pursuing a B.Pharm or M.Pharm.

Sir, My daughter has secured 75040 rank in VITEEE 2026 results of which are declared today. It seems she is likely to get admission at VIT AP or Bhopal under category 4 or 5. I am central PSU employee. In which branches, she is likely to get admission. Is it worthwhile to join her under higher categories by taking loan. She has not fared well at JEE Mains. She is also preparing for BITSAT and IAT 2026. Kindly advise.

Based on her rank, she may get a seat in CSE (Cyber Security, AI & ML), Data Analytics, and Software Engineering at VIT AP and VIT Bhopal under Categories 4 or 5. Core CSE is possible in Category 5 at these campuses. If she secures Core CSE in Bhopal (not advisable for other branches due to higher fees), is that acceptable for you? Being in Category 5, the fee structure is higher compared to other categories. First, you should consider whether paying the higher fees is worth it. Will she be able to secure a good job after graduation? If her 12th-grade score is above 85%, she may qualify for the Tata scholarship, which can help cover part of the fees. Otherwise, you should evaluate her performance in the IAT or BITSAT to help decide her future.

Ans: At VITEEE 51,000, VIT Vellore Category 2 is highly unlikely for B.Tech; even lower-demand Vellore branches usually move to higher categories. Do not skip JAC Delhi. With JEE Main CRL 170,867, Delhi region, female, she has a realistic chance in IGDTUW lower/possibly tech branches in later rounds and may get DTU/NSUT lower branches only if cutoffs stretch. Ans: Rajesh Sir, At VITEEE rank 23,508, CSE with AI/AI-ML at VIT Vellore is very difficult, even in higher fee categories, because Vellore CSE/AI is among the most demanded branches. Realistic options are VIT Chennai CSE-specialisation may be borderline/high category, while VIT-AP or VIT Bhopal CSE/AI is much more realistic. All the Best for Your Son's rosperous Future!
