Sir, my daughter got 88% in MHCET. Can you plz suggest the possible good colleges in Mumbai, preferably in and around Navi Mumbai for E & TC brach? Thanks

Ans: With 88% in MHCET, your daughter has a good chance of getting into several reputable E&TC (Electronics and Telecommunication) colleges in and around Navi Mumbai. Some of the recommended options include Fr. C. Rodrigues Institute of Technology, Ramrao Adik Institute of Technology (RAIT), and SIES Graduate School of Technology. My daughter scored 96.6 in MHT CET in which colleges she can get for Computer Science in Mumbai. Also we are trying to apply through EWS
Ans: With a 96.6 percentile in MHT CET and EWS category, your daughter stands a strong chance for Computer Science (CSE) or related branches in several reputable Mumbai colleges. VESIT Mumbai’s 2022 cutoff for CSE was 96.6 percentile for open seats, and recent years show similar or slightly higher cutoffs; with EWS reservation, her chances improve, especially in later rounds. Vidyalankar Institute of Technology (VIT) Mumbai had a CSE EWS cutoff of 94.84 in 2024, while Information Technology closed at 92.99–92.81, making both attainable. Shah & Anchor Kutchhi Engineering College, SIES Graduate School of Technology, and Fr. Conceicao Rodrigues College of Engineering (Bandra) also have CSE/IT cutoffs between 94–97 percentile for EWS and open categories. Other strong options include Bharati Vidyapeeth College of Engineering (Navi Mumbai), Don Bosco Institute of Technology, and Atharva College of Engineering, all with CSE/IT cutoffs in the 94–97 range for EWS. SPIT Mumbai, DJ Sanghvi, and Thadomal Shahani are more competitive, typically closing above 98–99 percentile for CSE, so they are unlikely at your score.

The recommendation is to prioritize VESIT Mumbai, Vidyalankar Institute of Technology, Shah & Anchor Kutchhi Engineering College, SIES GST, and Fr. Conceicao Rodrigues College for CSE/IT, listing them in CAP counselling in that order, and include other reputable colleges such as Bharati Vidyapeeth, Don Bosco, and Atharva as strong alternatives, maximizing her chances for a CSE seat in Mumbai under EWS. All the BEST for the Admission & a Prosperous Future!

Hello sir. My daughter has secured 97.97 (General) in MHT CET. Pls let us know which college options are best for her (preferably in Mumbai ). She wants to pursue CS/IT/AI ML branches
Ans: With a 97.97 percentile (General category) in MHT CET 2025, your daughter has strong prospects for admission to reputable Mumbai engineering colleges in Computer Science, Information Technology, and AI-ML branches. The top-tier colleges like VJTI Mumbai (CSE cutoff ~99.5-99.7 percentile) and SPIT Mumbai (Computer Engineering cutoff ~99.0-99.4 percentile) remain beyond reach, but several excellent Mumbai institutions are accessible. Ten recommended colleges with confirmed admission prospects include: KJ Somaiya Institute of Technology (CSE cutoff 97.5-97.88 percentile, IT cutoff 96.88-97.19 percentile, AI-DS cutoff 96.42-96.91 percentile with 80-90% placement rates), Thadomal Shahani Engineering College (Computer Engineering cutoff 98.69 percentile with ~90% placements), Fr. C. Rodrigues Institute of Technology Navi Mumbai (Computer Engineering cutoff 76.72-88.9 percentile with robust placement record), SIES Graduate School of Technology Nerul (Computer Science & Electronic Engineering cutoff 91.2-92.89 percentile with 61% placement rate), St. Francis Institute of Technology Borivali (cutoff ranges 76.1-94.6 percentile with 80-90% placement rates), Vidyalankar Institute of Technology Wadala (80-90% placement rates), Ramrao Adik Institute of Technology Navi Mumbai (720+ offers in 2023 with established recruiter network), Bharati Vidyapeeth College of Engineering, Pillai College of Engineering, and Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology Mumbai. These colleges maintain active placement cells with recruiters including TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Amazon, Microsoft, Capgemini, and Accenture, offering comprehensive CSE/IT programs with modern labs and industry exposure.

Recommendation: Prioritize KJ Somaiya Institute of Technology for its excellent cutoff alignment and strong placement record in CSE/IT/AI-DS; consider Thadomal Shahani Engineering College and Fr. C. Rodrigues Institute as strong alternatives with solid industry connections; include SIES GST, St. Francis Institute, and RAIT as reliable backup options to ensure confirmed admission in your preferred CSE/IT/AI-ML branches while maximizing placement opportunities and career prospects. All the BEST for the Admission & a Prosperous Future!

Hello sirji I got place at NIELIT Ajmer and Thapar both CSE and in NIELIT cyber security and I am from Haryana so wht should I choose?
Ans: As a student from the State of Haryana you are offered seats at NIELIT Ajmer for CSE and Cyber Security alongside CSE at Thapar University, a comprehensive evaluation reveals distinct academic and career pathways. NIELIT Ajmer’s B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering covers Internet of Things, Cyber Security, and Blockchain Technology with a 60-seat capacity, admission via JEE Main closing around 47,166 for general category, and government-funded programs under MeitY ensuring affordable fees and specialized labs. Thapar University’s CSE achieved an 83% placement rate in 2023 with 334 recruiting companies, robust T&P infrastructure, and major recruiters like Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Deloitte, and IBM. Thapar’s average package of ?11.90 LPA underscores consistent industry engagement and comprehensive training. NIELIT Ajmer Cyber Security offers targeted government-backed certification courses, dedicated placement cells, and proximity to Haryana (~322 km), while NIELIT Ajmer CSE remains nascent with limited placement history. Both institutions feature modern laboratories, libraries, and safe residential facilities supporting holistic student development.

Recommendation: Choose Thapar University CSE for its better job placement record, strong ties with companies, and good academic standing; look at NIELIT Ajmer Cyber Security for affordable, government-supported training in new security technologies; steer clear of NIELIT Ajmer CSE because it has little job placement information and is still growing. All the BEST for Admission & a Prosperous Future!
