Can I get any nit at 89.2 percentile in jee mains and I belongs to OBC category

Ans: Hello Asha
With 89.2 %tile and OBC category, difficult to get admission to any NIT. You can try either to IIITs or RECs. Better to score more in 2nd JEE attempt for better options.

i am a mtech in automotive engineering, from vit college, placements are bad for mtech, i dont know how to get into a good income flowing job in automotive industry, how to get in high paid jobs, skills to learn, hows the job market, or else it is better to change field towards trends, like AI, data analyst, or doing a MBA?

Ans: Can look at all options and decide based on your interest. AI, MBA or continuing with your job are all fine. If you are looking for a job then can contact placement agency and check the skillet required for a job and do some relevant courses.

I completed my B.Tech in Biotechnology in 2024 and initially prepared for the CAT exam. However, I scored a 62 percentile, which isn’t sufficient for admission to a reputed college. I am considering dropping a year to reattempt CAT, but I am concerned about having a second gap year. Since June 2024, I have been learning about finance and business, though I don’t have certifications to validate my knowledge. To bridge this gap, I am currently doing a Financial Analyst Trainee internship through Internshala, but I am unsure of its value in justifying my gap years. I am committed to transitioning into finance and plan to specialize in this field. To strengthen my profile, I have registered for the CFA Level 1 exam in August 2025 and plan to acquire relevant skills through certifications such as Microsoft-certified Excel, SQL, financial modeling, and NISM (Financial Advisor Level 1 & 2). My main concern is whether taking another drop year is the right choice. How should I justify both gap years effectively? Are these certifications and internships sufficient, or should I consider alternative ways to strengthen my profile? I would appreciate your guidance on making the best decision.

Ans: If you are doing CFA along with other internships and courses it could suffice to justify the gap. If you don't plan to do CFA then it is advisable to do a job along with CAT preparation.

Calculate your approximate rank based on your percentile using a Google search. 2. As mentioned in several my previous responses, check the JoSAA opening and closing ranks for 2024 to get a general idea of the institutes and branches you might be eligible for, based on your category (OBC-NCL). Make sure you fill in your preferences accordingly during the actual JoSAA counselling process after JEE Advanced. 3. To better understand the JoSAA counselling process, I recommend watching an EduJob360 video if time permits. 4. Additionally, it’s advisable to appear for 3-4 more entrance exams (if your parents can afford it) as backups. Calculate your approximate rank based on your percentile using a Google search. 2. As mentioned in several my previous responses, check the JoSAA opening and closing ranks for 2024 to get a general idea of the institutes and branches you might be eligible for, based on your category (Open/SC/ST/EWS etc). Make sure you fill in your preferences accordingly during the actual JoSAA counselling process after JEE Advanced. 3.
