Your daughter is in 2nd PUC with PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science). For a better future and job placement point of view, opt for AI + DS i.e. Artificial Intelligence and Data Science combined or an individual branch for B.Tech. The fields of AI and DS are rapidly growing in the tech industry. It is said that, in the coming days, maximum work will be done with the help of AI. The job opportunities are across the globe. Human's future is AI.

Ans: Hello dear
PCMB is more demanding because of the extra subject, and it keeps more career options open early on. PCMC is better if she prefers technology, engineering, or computer-related fields, as it provides a deeper focus on programming and computational thinking. Computer skills can be learned from any source, but opportunities with biology may be limited. The recommendation is to choose PCMB over PCMC.

Ans: IIT admission is not possible through JEE Main, and chances with top NITs are almost nil/slim. Try with some lower-demand NIT branches/newer NITs, GFTIs, or state colleges may still be possible, depending on home state and counseling rounds.

Sir, my daughter scored 91.35 percentile in Jee mains 2026. Obc rank 45185.CRL rank 1.34L. home state Tamilnadu. Is there a possibility for getting a seat in lower branches in mid or newer NITs under female only quota in CSAB counselling?She is also writing other Entrance exams..Bitsat, AEEE, VITEEE, SNU, Manipal. In AEEE scored 94 percentile in phase 1. Whether Csc in Amrita coimbatore campus possible to get? Which option to choose tier 3 NIT or deemed university? Please give your suggestions.

Ans: She may have a chance in CSAB for lower branches at newer/lower NITs under the female quota, though it is not certain. AEEE offers a decent shot at CSE at Amrita Coimbatore, depending on the final cutoff. Between a tier-3 NIT and a strong deemed university, choose the one with better branch/placement outcomes rather than the NIT tag alone.

Ans: Chances with top NITs are nil. But you have a chance at lower/newer NITs/IIITs, depending on home state, branch preference, and JoSAA/CSAB rounds for lower branches.

Ans: Chances with top NITs and govt colleges are nil with this rank and score. Try with state-level colleges and some lower/newer IIITs/private colleges via JEE.

You have a moderate chance of securing a seat in lower-tier NITs, such as NIT Srinagar, Agartala, Raipur, Meghalaya, or Sikkim, particularly in branches like Civil, Mechanical, or Metallurgical Engineering.

Your best opportunity lies in leveraging the home state quota for MNIT in less competitive branches, such as Chemical, Metallurgical, or Materials Engineering, during the later rounds of counseling.
