Sir B tech in CE or CSE which is the best career option

Ans: I wish you mentioned whether you are in school or an engg college. It absence of those critical details I would say both programs build strong found in the first 2 years with almost 80-90 pc similar curriculum and coverage. While CE is more hardware oriented or hybrid roles with future prospects in emerging areas--Self-driving cars,
Wearable devices, 5G/6G networking hardware, Edge computing systems. CSE will open up doors in Software Development-Full-Stack Developer, Cloud Engineer, Mobile App Developer, AI/ML & Data Science--kind of roles. My suggestion is to prepare for admission tests score well and then pick the one that looks more appropriate to you at the time of Counselling.

I am getting 15241 general rank and 2031 ews rank in Jee mains so should I prefer lower branch top nit or top branch lower nit.

Ans: Prefer the top NIT with a slightly lower branch over the lower NIT with the top branch (CSE)

Regarding choice of college My crl in jee main is 1.4 lacs , general , vit rank 23k ...hs- wb , female..but I dont expect good result in wbjee ( maybe max - 60-70 marks) ...what should I do.. I want to take cse ...but might take any other branch if need be, is it possible to get any government college cse, am a dropper , what about vit

Ans: VIT Vellore/Chennai CSE specializations may be your best options. Chances of getting CSE at a government college are low unless through the state quota/reservation benefits. If possible, participate in the WB state counselling process to get a decent college, even with a lower branch. As you are a female candidate from WB, rethink the VIT option from all angles.

Ans: With an AEEE rank, you can expect CSE-related branches, ECE, and possibly CSE at Amrita/Amritapuri campuses.

I passed grade 12 in 2026 but can i give an improvement exam for only 2 subjects instead of all 5 subjects in 2027 and still get accepted by bitsat 2027 score kindly let know regarding this doubt of mine.

Ans: Only a 2-subject improvement may not satisfy BITSAT eligibility. Generally, it requires all 5 subjects. However, it is highly recommended to read the latest BIT brochure for any changes in the eligibility criterion.

sir kindly read this brochure sourced from official bits Pilani faq website I appeared for the 12th Board examination for the first time in 2025, but I did not reappear in all the subjects for improvement. I appeared only in the 'n' number of subject(s) in 2026. What 12th year of passing should I fill in BITSAT-2026? Since you appeared only in a few subjects for improvement in 2026, your year of passing the 12th exam will be 2025. You will provide both of your marks sheets, the first Marks of the statement along with the improved marks of the statement. Please note that your latest marks will be considered....will I still not be considered eligible??

Ans: Then it is okay. It means you are still eligible for BITs, and your case is explicitly allowed under their rule: the passing year remains 2025, and improvement in some subjects is accepted, so eligibility is NOT affected. You must be happy then.
