My son has accidentally mentioned the wrong date of birth in his JEE 2024 application Form. Later on when he discovered his mistake, he had pointed out this irregularity numerous times through email references at the designated NTA portal. However the mistake still remains to be rectified. Subsequently the Hall Ticket too was issued to him, with the wrong DOB mentioned therein, which caused much hardship to him and consternation to us. He was allowed to take the examination (Ist Session) only after he submitted a request letter and declaration in this regard. He is in possession of all the valid DOB certificates viz- Standard Xth Certificate, AADHAR etc which clearly evidences the correct DOB. Kindly guide as to what requisite course of action is needed in the matter.

Ans: Sir,
DOB cannot be changed now, as you said for the 1st session he has submitted a request letter & declaration, same will be the procedure for the 2nd session and JEE-Advanced. During the time of JOSAA counseling, you will need to submit an affidavit duly notarised that by mistake DOB was entered wrong and this will suffice.
