Career

With a 93.44 percentile in JEE Mains , can one aim for an ECE branch at least , in some NIT or in PICT Pune ? Or , if we were to opt for MIT Pune , SIT Pune , SNU Chennai , VIT Vellore or Amrita VV , which one of these five would you recommend for CSE or AI&ML ?

Ans: At 93.44 percentile NIT is not possible. PICT, you will have to try with MHTCET. You can opt for MIT or VIT or SIT.

Hello sir, I have scored 92%ile in JEE mains 9000 rank in Comedk I am more interested in ECE as compared to CSE, Curently I have 2 options MUJ CSE and Bangalore institute, RVITM, Bmsit and hopefully dayanand sagar ECE ( The cutoff went 8700 last year). Which one would you reccomend Sir?

Hi sir, I got 89.314 percentile in jee mains 2025.. I'm from sc catagory and also from West Bengal.. Will I get CSE or ECE branch in good NITs?

Ans: CSE Possibilities in NITs
NIT Agartala – High chance for CSE in later rounds.
NIT Mizoram, NIT Meghalaya, NIT Arunachal Pradesh, NIT Nagaland, NIT Sikkim – High chance for CSE.
NIT Silchar – Possible for CSE in later rounds (since it's your home state NIT).

ECE Possibilities in NITs
NIT Silchar – High chance for ECE due to Home State Quota.
NIT Jalandhar, NIT Raipur, NIT Patna, NIT Hamirpur – Possible for ECE.
NIT Durgapur (Home State) – Medium chance for ECE, but depends on final cutoffs.

Hi sir, my son got 94.83 percentile in jee mains, he belongs to obc category with rank 28312, in aeee he got 2242 rank, he has also attended KEAM in which he got 98.45 session percentile, what are his options? he attended Jee advanced, the branch he would like to have is in civil engineering. Will he get into in any NIT?

Ans: Preference order: 1) NIT Civil through JoSAA/CSAB, 2) Amrita through AEEE, 3) KEAM Kerala colleges.
With OBC rank 28,312, Civil is possible mainly in newer/lower-demand NITs or later CSAB rounds, not top NITs; fill all Civil choices. JoSAA category ranks are used for OBC seats. AEEE rank 2242 is strong; Amrita Civil/related branches are realistic backups. KEAM 98.45 percentile is good, but final Kerala rank decides CET/GEC chances. All the Best for Your Prosperous Future!

Sir,I got 75 percent in my boards but aggregate marks in MPC is less than 60 percentage.I want to join SRM instituion but didnot met the eligibility criteria .Will SRM accept betterment marks ? Betterment results will be declared in august. will it be a problem when results are late and untill the results are out should i unable to confirm the seat or pay the fees

Ans: SRM requires minimum 60% PCM/MPC aggregate for B.Tech. Betterment may help only if accepted before enrollment deadline. August result delay can risk seat cancellation. If i have to choose btw jiit sector 128 cse core and graphic era cse core which is better ... is jiit worth taking if i dont get sector 62

Ans: Preference: 1) JIIT Sector 128 CSE Core 2) Graphic Era CSE Core.

i got 49573 rank in vit what are the probability i can get into chennai and vellore campus we should go with any branch in vellore because of the best campus tag or opt for cse and i m female from maharashtra so if i get good colleges in mhtcet should i go for that or vit and if possible can you explain a bit about which branch to incline

Ans: Your daughter may get lower branches like Civil, Metallurgy, Chemical, Mining, or Biotechnology in newer IITs, depending on her exact OBC female rank and JoSAA rounds.

Ans: Preference order may be: PES (AI/ML) > VIT Chennai (AI/ML) > Manipal (CS & FinTech) > SNU (AI/ML). The preference order may vary depending on the circumstances.

I'm getting category 1 cse ai ml at vit ap and 50% scholarship cse ai ml at lpu. Where should I go? I want a good placement with internship in 3rd year. I know everyone wants that but I'm ready to work very hard for internships and placements. I live in North India so vit ap is a bit far but Google says its better than lpu in placement aspect and due to vit tag. But i read so many experiences of bad management and academics in both of them. I want a good academic environment so pls suggest where should I join?

Ans: Choose VIT-AP CSE AI-ML Category 1, if fees are manageable. It has VIT group placement access/CDC, a listed CSE AI-ML programme, internship focus, and a stronger brand signal. LPU’s 50% scholarship reduces risk, but VIT-AP looks better for placement-oriented CSE. Choose LPU only if budget/distance is decisive. All the Best for Your Prosperous Future!

My daughter got 97.6 percentage in her boards and80. 74 percentile in jee main does she have a chance of getting CSE in sastra university also she applied for improvment in board exams

Ans: Sujatha Madam, Yes, she has a chance, mainly through Stream 2, because SASTRA considers Class 12 marks; 2026 admissions use 50% of seats via JEE+Board and 50% via Board marks only. Her 97.6% board score is strong, but CSE is competitive. Add IT, ECE, AI/DS, and cybersecurity as backups. Still have backup options of 2-3 reputed private colleges in TN State.
