I have passed class 12 board exam 2026 I had 6subjects, 1 additional and 5main subjects i got rt in physics so, i gave compartment exam and got rt again now to fill form for private candidate for physics exam in which category i should go for improvement or compartment (my overall result is passed in main marksheet). I have try with compartment category but it say inavild details even after everything is correct but when I tried in improvement category it worked should I go with improvement category or go with compartment(it says invalid when I done)
Ans: Shreyansh, Select the “Improvement” category on the CBSE Private Candidate Portal. Enter your main board examination details, including your roll number, five-digit school code and centre number, exactly as given on your original March 2026 admit card or marksheet, rather than using your July compartment examination details. Select Physics as the subject and complete the application and fee payment before the deadline, but first confirm with CBSE that the Improvement category is valid for your specific case. If you pass the Physics examination in 2027, CBSE may issue a separate marksheet, which you may need to present along with your original 2026 marksheet for college admissions or competitive examinations such as JEE. Your 2026 Physics practical marks may also be carried forward, subject to CBSE rules, so confirm whether you need to appear only for the theory examination. All The Best for Your Prosperous Future!
