Ans: 01. You have a Rental Income of Rs.2.80 (L) per year. This does not make it mandatory for you to File ITR. BUT You might be having some Interest Income or Pension or any other income. Kindly note that it is always better to file your ITR, even if you don't have to pay any income tax. So my advice is to file your ITR, you won't have to pay any tax.
02. As far as Rental Income of your son is concerned, it is not your income, so it shall not be reflected in your ITR. I would suggest to receive this rent in a joint account with your son.
03. You may also consider to file ITR of your son, even if his total income is not much. He is NRI & some times such documents are required for visa and/or immigration purposes.
Most welcome to write for further clarifications, if any. Thanks.
