Hello sir/ma'am,
My younger brother has scored 58 percent pcb aggregate in this yr class 12th from cbse, he is taking his 1st drop for neet nd going to go for neet 2027. Recently we got to know that for aiims we need 60 percent nd for other gmc we need only 50 percent, can my brother give cbse improvement exam as a private candidate next yr with 2027 freshers in all 5 subjects?? Do the medical institutions like aiims nd other gmc accept improvement marksheet?? Kindly help

Yes, he can opt for NIOS to complete his 12th grade. However, achieving a score of 60% is much easier compared to securing a seat in MBBS. A 60% in 12th grade is not enough, especially since the requirement is based on a 50% aggregate for categories other than SC and ST. He will need to put in significant effort, and you and parents must support him to achieve his goals. Additionally, he should have some basic math knowledge to tackle the physics subject questions in NEET paper, which often require problem-solving skills. Please make your/his decisions accordingly.
