We are based out of Bengaluru and under GM category. My son has got seat in BIT Mesra - Integrated M.Sc in Physics through CSAB 2nd round and most probably with his rank in Karnataka CET, (9300 rank) he might get in BMS College of Engineering or MSRIT in Mechanical Engineering department.
He is personally inclined towards Mechanical/aerospace Engineering and wants to complete M.Tech through GATE, ultimately shaping his career with DRDO/HAL or any space startup. He is interested in making drones/machines/practical aspects of Physics.
1. Which of the institute he should prefer?
2. Is his choice of stream aligned towards his ultimate goal?
3. Will he get the required practical exposure in those colleges?
Your guidance will help him choosing right path.

Ans: Somath Sir, Prefer MSRIT Mechanical Engineering, followed by BMSCE Mechanical, over BIT Mesra Integrated M.Sc Physics. His Mechanical/Aerospace inclination strongly aligns with drones, machines, GATE and DRDO/HAL pathways. MSRIT offers substantial mechanical labs, design/FEA, manufacturing and UAV exposure. BIT-Mesra-Physics is excellent academically but less directly aligned with his engineering-oriented career goal. All The Best for Your Son's Prosperous Future!
