I am working as a Senior Office Assistant and I want to move into an HR career. I have a B.A. and M.A. in Sociology, and JBT. I have some experience in HR/admin activities such as attendance, manpower records, joining records, leave records, security and employee-related work.
I want to know: Can my current experience help me get an HR Assistant or HR Operations job? What skills, certifications or courses should I learn first to move into HR, and is an MBA in HR necessary for my career growth?
Ans: MBA in HR will halp if you want growth. If you have more than 3 years work experience you can try for Executive MBA at XLRI. It is called PGDM GM and is an 18 month full time course. If you do not have the resources to do full time mba then look out for an hr job and simultaneously do online mba.
