Hi Mayank, my daughter is in 11th standard in Bangalore, she is good in Biology, scored well in 10th standard, interested in Medicine. What are the best coaching options if she has to make a serious attempt at NEET - PG. Please help.

Ans: Hello Harsha,
You can go for Chaitanya, Narayana, or Aakash they are good. Also, you can look for their school-integrated program where in they take care of both board & NEET.

All the best.

Hi Nayagam sir, I am a regular follower of your Q and A's here and I am very thankful for the service you are rendering to the student community at large. I am the parent of a 12th pass student from Hyderabad. My ward got 430 marks in NEET in 2024 and 89% in CBSE. She wont get an MBBS seat with her NEET score in any college in convener quota and hence she wants to take a drop and prepare long term with coaching. Last year she took Aakash coaching. As you may know, Aakash, Resonance and Physics Wallah are the well-known institutes here. Our question now is, where does she take the long term coaching and any other suggestions you may have to better her performance in NEET 2025. Thank you very much in anticipation
Ans: Prefer ALLEN or Resonance full-time Coaching Class option with any one of its nearby branches. Do a thorough analysis of why you could score only 430 / 720 and what went wrong. Some additional practical study tips/strategies for you:

(1) Whenever you study at home, study for 45-minutes. Then take a break of 10-minutes when you can move away from your study table, walk, have some water & relax. If you continue studying beyond 45-minutes, your concentration power will go down, resulting in low output. Most students commit this mistake. (2) Daily (morning or evening whichever will be convenient to you), do yoga, meditation or physical exercises or play any games/sports for at least 30-45 minutes. This will further reduce your stress/distractions. (3) Study tough topics / tough subjects (applicable to you) early morning with your fresh mind. (4) Eat a lot of green vegetables/fruits that you can afford & Avoid soft drinks (5) Everyday night, before going to bed, revise whatever you have studied during the day. (6) Also, revise every week whatever you have covered to date (here your short-notes which you should prepare will be helpful). (7) Keep practicing questions on topics that you have covered either offline or online (8) Give utmost importance to wrongly answered / difficult/complicated/tough questions and have a separate note-book, especially for this for each subject (PCM) (8) You might be aware that NEET rank is allotted based on the highest score in Biology. Practice more and more in Biology, till you reach Speed & Accuracy (9) Keep attempting the Chapterwise/Unitwise/Fully syllabus online test series, evaluate and analyze your performance such as, (a) which topic/unit/concept you are weak which needs your revision and improvement as this will disturb you when you appear in actual NEET exam (b) abnormal time taken to attempt any question which you can come to know from Online Test Series which you should reduce (c) which questions you skipped and why? (10) Please AVOID studying under pressure. (10) Have Plan B & Plan C for other Colleges Entrance Exams / Disciplines-Streams like allied Medicine Courses / allied Science Courses (11) Avoid comparing yourself with other students. I hope I have answered your question with value additions.

All the BEST for your Bright Future.

Dear Sir, Contemplating on admitting my son to either RVU or RVIT. There seems to be flexibility in course work for RVU syllabus. Both are under RV. Please share your recommendation. Thanks.
Ans: RV University (RVU) and RV Institute of Technology and Management (RVITM), both under the RV umbrella, cater to different educational needs. RVU, established in 2021, is a multidisciplinary university offering programs from engineering to liberal arts, design, and law . It emphasizes interdisciplinary studies, a flexible curriculum, and aims to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills. RVU is ranked #2 as an emerging state private university . RVITM, in contrast, is an engineering-focused college that aims to shape future technology leaders .

The key difference lies in RVU's flexible coursework, allowing students to tailor their education across various fields, whereas RVITM provides a specialized engineering education . If your son seeks a broad academic experience with the ability to explore multiple disciplines, RVU is more suitable. If he has a clear focus on engineering, RVITM might be the better choice.

Recommendation
Given the emphasis on flexible coursework at RVU, it might be advantageous if your son has varied interests or is unsure about specializing immediately. If a focused engineering education is desired, RVITM is a strong option. Consider your son's academic preferences and career goals to make the best decision. All the best for your son's admission and a bright future!
