What kind of benefit is my child going to attain by studying in an IB institute?

Ans: Hello,

Thank you for contacting us. To begin with, enrolling your child in an International Baccalaureate (IB) institute has a number of advantages. Studying at an IB institution may provide a number of advantages, such as:

1. Global Outlook: Internationally renowned IB programs prioritise a global perspective. Students are exposed to a wide variety of cultures, concepts, and viewpoints, which can aid in the development of a more expansive worldview and a more global mindset.

2. Demanding Curriculum: The rigorous curriculum that emphasises interdisciplinary learning, critical thinking, and research skills is a hallmark of IB programs. This can aid in the development of strong academic abilities in your child that are transferable to both further education and the workplace, such as research, analysis, and problem-solving.

3. Holistic Development: IB programs focus on the holistic development of the child, emphasising not only academic but also social, emotional, and physical growth. Students are urged to participate in extracurricular pursuits, volunteer work, and contemplation since these activities can support their character development and personal growth.

4. Command over multiple languages: Students may have the chance to study numerous languages as IB programs frequently place an emphasis on language learning. This can help them communicate better, help them better comprehend other cultures, and make them more employable in a more and more interconnected world.

In addition to the benefits mentioned above, studying at an IB institution also prepares the student for higher education, develops the students’ critical thinking abilities, and strives to offer a well-rounded education.

It's crucial to remember that depending on the particular school and program, the unique advantages of studying at an IB institute can change. To better appreciate the advantages of studying at the particular IB institute your child is contemplating, it is advised that you do some research about it and pay a visit to the school.

Sir, my nephew has sought admission in ISB Hyderabad for post graduation but wants to know if it would be a better option to have an international degree. His budget is Rs 40 lakh and his GRE is 310 in the second attempt.
Ans: Hello!

Several variables, including your nephew's professional aspirations, industry, and location, will determine if an overseas degree is a better choice.
Your nephew can benefit from a diversified and global education and improve his resume by acquiring an international degree. A bigger network of alumni connections in the worldwide market or prospects for overseas job placements may also become available.
After an international degree, he can also consider career options such as working in a multinational corporation, starting his own business, or seeking employment in their field of study abroad.
A top overseas business school degree might be substantially more expensive to pursue than education in India. With a budget of 40 lakhs, your nephew may find it challenging to afford an international degree.
Additionally, with a GRE score of 310, he might get acceoted into top overseas schools as most of them have waived off GRE for the year 2023.
In the end, your nephew should carefully examine the benefits and drawbacks of obtaining an overseas degree, taking into account his financial situation, professional objectives, and academic background. He could find it useful to look at particular colleges and programmes to see if they fit with his objectives and whether he would be a strong candidate.

Hello , My son will be completing IGSCE 10th and would require guidance should it be AS Level or IBDP ?if he plan to go for Masters later abroad should he continue with AS Level or IBDP ? As graudation will be Normal University
Ans: Hello Jyothish,

To begin with, thank you for contacting us. I am happy to hear that your son is studying the IGSCE curriculum and will be completing his 10th grade. To answer your question first, I would like to let you know that the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) and the AS Level, both have their own advantages. Nevertheless, your son’s interests, strengths, as well as the prerequisites of the universities he intends pursuing his Master's degree at play a key role in his decision. I would like to tell you that owing to the subject-oriented approach provided by AS Levels, students’ can concentrate extensively on the subjects opted for by them. IBDP, on the contrary, entailing a range of disciplines in addition to the Theory of Knowledge (TOK) and Extended Essay (EE), provides a comprehensive curriculum, in turn, fostering an all-encompassing academic learning process. You would be glad to know that both these credentials are globally accepted in order to secure admission to foreign universities. Although the IBDP may be favored by certain universities owing to its comprehensive approach, the degree of information provided by AS Levels may be valued equally by others. In order to make an educated choice that best matches his academic abilities as well as future ambitions, I would recommend that your son conducts an all-round study on the universities he intends studying at and looks into their unique prerequisites.
