I want to start a SIP of Rs 10,000 per month for my son who has recently turned 20.

The time horizon is upto 30 years, depending on requirement.

It must include a 'top up' option.

Please advise.

I want to start SIP for my daughter with a monthly amount of Rs. 1500 for long term. She is now 12 years old. Kindly suggest a better option which can be help for long run.

I am 29 years of age and wish to start an SIP each in my wife's and my name for Rs 15,000 per month for the next 10-15 years. The monthly amount may grow in future. I want to start a SIP for my son who is 21 years old. This is for 10000 per month with regular top ups for a duration of about 30 years. Which category of mutual fund would be advisable for this? And what kind of returns can be expected in percentage terms in this Thank you Akhilesh

Ans: Hi Akhilesh, thank you for writing to me. As your goal duration is long, your son will see the benefits of compounding.

As your goal seems to be long term wealth creation, I recommend you invest in equity and hybrid funds.

You can consider starting monthly SIP's in:

hi Sir, I am 44 years old. I currently have just 3 funds which I put around few years back a lumpsum of 1.5L and it is now around 3.5L. I was unable to start any SIP due to various difficulties. I would like to start an SIP for 15K per month with an expectation for daughter's education, marriage and possibly retirement etc. in next 10-12 years. Could you please suggest any appropriate funds and an approximate target amount I can achieve with this plan? Thank you

Ans: With 3.5L as current investment + 15,000 SIP for 12 years, you should be able to accumulate 45,00,000 assuming 12% returns on your investments
