Can I get money back if sent to a wrong account in Google Pay?

Ans: Getting money back for an accidental transfer on Google Pay depends on the situation, but there is a chance. Here's what you can do:

Report the incident to Google Pay: Act as quickly as possible. Open the Google Pay app, find the mistaken transaction, and look for an option to "Dispute" or "Report" it. Clearly explain that you sent the money to the wrong recipient by mistake.

Contact Google Pay customer support: You can call them directly using the number for your region (US: +1 855-357-2503, India: +91 800 100 1000). Explain the situation and request their help in recovering the funds.

Chances of getting money back:

If the recipient has an active Google Pay account with the same UPI ID you sent to: There's a possibility Google Pay can facilitate a reversal if the recipient hasn't already used the money.
If the recipient doesn't have an active Google Pay account: Getting the money back gets more complex. Google Pay may still be able to help, but it might involve contacting the recipient's bank. Cooperation from the recipient is crucial in this scenario.
Overall, it's important to act promptly and report the issue to Google Pay as soon as you realize the mistake. The more information you can provide them, the better chance you have of recovering your funds.
