I've been checking my Provident Fund (PF) balance regularly, and I'm unsure if my employer is contributing their part on time. How can I verify if my employer is making regular contributions to my PF? Is there a way to track the employer's payments directly through EPFO or my PF account? Also, what steps should I take if I notice that my employer hasn't contributed for a few months? Can I ask for proof of payment from them or contact EPFO to investigate the delay? Finally, if my employer isn't contributing regularly, what are my rights, and what should I do to ensure my PF is getting properly funded?

Ans: Hello;

You may check contributions made to your epf account by accessing passbook by logging in to EPFO portal or Umang app.

You may also check your salary slip for the same.

Balance update in your epf account can also be checked through sms and missed call facility as given on the EPFO portal.

You may raise a grievance online with EPFiGMS portal regarding non payment of epf contribution by your employer.

EPFO has reasonable powers to ensure employer pays his share contribution on time and with penalty, if delayed.

They can forfeit assets and also file criminal police complaint against the employer.

Best wishes;
