Ma'am or sir, Please explain the below condition is this critical condition or can be right with regular follow up UPPER GASTRO-INTESTINAL BLEED ETIOLOGY: MALLORY WEISS TEAR DECOMPENSATED CHRONIC LIVER DISEASE; CTP 9 B; MELD 18 ETIOLOGY: ETHANOL PORTO-HYPERTENSIVE ASCITES PAST UPPER GI BLEED-GASTRIC ULCER-FORREST III ALCOHOL USE DISORDER

Ans: If the person has left alchohol, then no worries
But still need a close follow up for next six months till liver cells regenerate

Dear Sir/Madam, my husband has the following diagnosis:- UPPER GASTRO-INTESTINAL BLEED ETIOLOGY: MALLORY WEISS TEAR, DECOMPENSATED CHRONIC LIVER DISEASE; CTP 9 B; MELD 18,ETIOLOGY: ETHANOL, PORTO-HYPERTENSIVE ASCITES PAST UPPER GI BLEED-GASTRIC ULCER-FORREST III, ALCOHOL USE DISORDER Good thing is that he has stopped drinking. He has been kept on OPD follow up 3 monthly with repeated blood tests. Now we have doubt that is this fearful condition or can be followed up in OPD basis only.

Ans: he has cirrhosis of the liver. He needs to follow up regularly with the gastroenterologist. This of course is a serious condition but does not require admission unless the patient develops a complication like bleeding from the stomach, or fever or altered mental state.

Dear Doctor, I am 41 years old, 6 ft 1 tall, 143 kg in weight. I used to be a heavy drinker, I have stopped for the last 3 months. I am suffering from gout and off late I am having problem with rectal leaks. Is it a matter of concern? Last time I checked I am not diabetic, Nor did I have fatty lever. Can you pls advise?

Ans: The rectal leaks may be due to a lax anal sphincter but I think you need to be examined by a surgeon. If the attacks of gout are very frequent , you will need to take drugs to decrease your uric acid levels. Cutting down on non vegetarian food will also help

i AM ROHIT AGE 49 YRS , I HAD LIVER ABYSESS TWO WEEKS BACK WITH 103 FEVER AND PLATELET COUNT 21000, WAS ADMITED AND NOW FEELING BETTER, I DRINK VERY OCCASIONALLY BUT HAVE NON VEG FOOD OUTSIDE, CAN YOU ADVSIE WHAT MAY BE THE MAIN REASON OF THIS LIVER ABYSYSS, IN 2015 ALSO I HAD LIVER ABYSYSS BUT WAS OK THROUGH MEDICINES, THIS TIME DRAINING WAS DONE . CAN I HAVE A HEALTHY LIFE LIKE BEFORE AND CAN I HAVE CURD / MILK ETC.

Ans: Mainly liver abscesses are generally due to Amoebiasis
This may be due to eating outside. Avoid eating out as far as possible
If you choose to eat, go for freshly cooked hot food and no raw salads, chutneys etc

Ans: They are not IITs, IIITs or NITs. All are private and the main criteria for the admission is money. I don't see any difference between them. You can choose any one of them.

sir in this year 2025 i have to give my board exam but due to some issue i did not appear but my board result on website shows with absent in front of all subject and i have to prepare for jee adv for 2027 and on jee adv site shows that you have only two attemp with class 12 so is there any issue with that result or still i have two attempts

Ans: You pass Class 12 in 2026 → JEE Adv 2026 and 2027 allowed.
