Hi Doctory I am 46 years old male and have been taking BP medication for the past 10 years. Recently, I was prescribed Telvas LN 40, taking one tablet every morning after breakfast. Over the past year, I have made significant lifestyle changes, including joining a gym, swimming regularly, and altering my diet. As a result, my weight has decreased from 93 kg to 86 kg. For the last three months, I have been taking only half a tablet of Telvas LN 40 in the morning and have been regularly monitoring my blood pressure at home. It consistently falls within the normal range, and sometimes even as low as 110/70 in the morning. Given these changes, should I continue taking half a tablet? Is there a possibility of reducing it further? I also take Roseday 10 mg daily at night for cholesterol, but my lipid levels are normal—total cholesterol is 137, triglycerides are 94, and HDL is 48.8. Can I also consider reducing my cholesterol medication? Please guide me.
