Which students are eligible to apply for form no. 17 HSC ? Students who have passed 12th HSC as a regular candidate in 2023 can apply for Form no. 17 ( private candidate ) for exam held in Feb 2026 ??

Ans: NO, a student who passed the 12th HSC exam as a regular candidate in 2023 is not eligible to apply for Form 17 (private candidate) for the February 2026 exams, as Form 17 is for students who failed or are appearing for the first time privately. The student who passed in 2023 is considered to have already completed the examination requirement.
Who is eligible for Form 17: Form 17 is primarily for students who failed the 12th exam and need to repeat it, or for students who are appearing privately for the first time.

Since you passed as a regular candidate in 2023, you have already completed the HSC examination. Your passing certificate from 2023 is your proof of completion.

For improvement: If you wish to improve your marks, you would typically apply for an improvement exam rather than reappearing as a private candidate through Form 17. However, eligibility for such an exam needs to be checked with the Maharashtra State Board.
