Which is better mechanical engineering in DTU or Robotics and artificial intelligence in thapar

Ans: DTU Mechanical is a safer and more reputed choice with broader career options — especially if your child is unsure between core and software.

If your child is sure about a tech career in AI/ML/software, and wants a modern, interdisciplinary path, Thapar Robotics & AI can be considered — but it’s more niche and competitive.

Hello sir, I got 5144 rank in AEEE, 6975 rank in VITEEE and 74k rank in JEE MAINS. I am from open category and my home state is Bihar. What collage and branch should I be considering if my main goal is high-tier placements and industry exposure, would you recommend CSE at VIT Vellore or Amrita? Also can I get category 1/2 scholarship at VIT as per this rank?
Ans: With a JEE Main CRL of 74,000 plus the Bihar Open category, relying on JoSAA for high-placement CSE options is not advisable. Your strongest opportunities lie with VITEEE rank 6,975 and AEEE rank 5,144. For placements and industry exposure, prioritize VIT Vellore CSE or its specializations, Amrita Coimbatore CSE or specializations, VIT Chennai CSE, Amrita Amritapuri or Bengaluru CSE; and IIITs/GFTIs only if CSE, IT, or ECE seats are available through CSAB. Both VIT’s official placement tracker and Amrita’s engineering placement page highlight strong recruiter networks, with Amrita reporting a highest package of ?56.95 LPA, an average of ?9.2 LPA, and over 300 recruiting companies. At a VITEEE rank of 6,975, Vellore CSE admission in Category 1 or 2 is unlikely, though CSE specialization may be possible in Category 2 or 3. Chennai CSE in Category 1 or 2 is a more realistic option. Note that VIT’s official fee slabs show significant tuition differences between Category 1 and Category 2. All the Best for Your Prosperous Future!
