Sir is it legal to repeat my class 12th through nios because nios already mentions that it is we can't take admission in class 12th 5 subjects. But we want to repeat 12th then we have to take admission on the basis of 10th results sir kindly reply
Ans: Yes, it is legally permissible to repeat Class 12 through the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS), even if you've already passed it via another recognized board like CBSE or a state board. However, NIOS has specific guidelines for such cases.?
Admission Options for Repeating Class 12 via NIOS
Dual/Part Admission Scheme
Eligibility: Students who have already completed Class 12 from a recognized board.
Subjects Allowed: You can enroll in up to four subjects.
Certification: Upon successful completion, NIOS will issue only a mark sheet, not a full pass certificate.
Purpose: Ideal for students aiming to improve marks in specific subjects or switch streams (e.g., from PCB to PCM).?

Transfer of Credit (TOC)
If you've passed certain subjects in your previous board, NIOS allows you to transfer credits for up to two of these subjects, provided they match NIOS's curriculum. This can reduce the number of exams you need to take.
