Which private University is best for B.Tech cse with affordable fees for a lower middle class family

Ans: Yours is a very truly question to answer. Ideal situation would be to identify a State or a Central University with a prestigious Engineering College. Government engineering colleges will typically come with lower fee structure. Or else prepare well and score good marks in the JEE exam to gain admission into one of the IITs that will have opportunities for loans as well as scholarship. Using this route you could gain admission into an engineering program with wide recognition. All the best.

why one will have to pay tax at all if there is no income tax for those earning up to Rs 12 lakh per annum?

Ans: Technically there is no tax if taxable income upto 12 lakh (except special rate income), as you get rebate equivalent to tax charged. So you have to calculate tax as per slab rate first and reduce tax liability by way of rebate.
