I passed CBSE with PCB but want Maths too: Can I take BITSAT 2025?

I have passed my cbse board this year with pcb , but want to take maths also ,and that's why I have filled my form for only maths as private candidate,my aggregate in pcb was around 80 percent and now also want to give maths this year ,am I eligible for bitsat 2025

Ans: You are eligible to appear for BITSAT 2025. However, securing admission to a specific branch or campus of BITS (Pilani, Goa, or Hyderabad) requires meeting the minimum cut-off marks. Typically, you need to score between 285 and 330, depending on the campus and branch of your choice.

The difficulty level of BITSAT falls between JEE Main and JEE Advanced, but the key challenge lies in the limited time available to answer a large number of questions. Additionally, the annual tuition fees for BITS are approximately ?8 lakh.

It is advisable to have both Plan A and Plan B by appearing for 4-5 other entrance exams as backup options. This will allow you to choose the most suitable college and course based on your final scores and preferences. All the Best for Your Prosperous Future.

Sir my daughter scored 73.8 in 10+2 but maths percentile is very low @ 46. She wish to appear in BITSAT. Can she be eligible if she improves her score in improvement exam to be held in July by CBSE?

Ans: Eligibility for BITS Pilani Admission:
Minimum Requirement: Candidates should have passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (for engineering courses) and secured at least 75% aggregate marks in these three subjects or be among the top 20 percentile in their respective board exams.

BITS also requires minimum 60% marks in each of these subjects (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics).
Yes! If she improves her aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics to 75% or above, she will meet the minimum eligibility criteria for BITSAT.
But my suggestion is to avoid engineering, because almost all streams in engineering require B.Sc. level math.

Sir, I gave my Class 12 boards in 2025. I scored slightly less than 60% in Maths, Chemistry was above 70%, and I am satisfied with my Physics score. In 2026, I will appear for improvement in Maths (mandatory) and Chemistry (optional for slightly higher marks). After these improvements, if my overall PCM aggregate reaches 75% and Maths individually meets 60%, will I be eligible for BITSAT 2026?

Ans: Yes. If, after improving your PCM aggregate to ≥75% with at least 60% in Maths individually, you become eligible for BITSAT 2026 (subject to the same-year improvement rule). However, considering your performance in the board examinations, it's advisable to keep other options open besides BIT-SAT. The exam is tough and very few students manage to crack it. Appearing for it is no harm, but relying on it could be harmful for future planning. It is better to focus more on your state-level engineering entrance exam, which also opens the door to many prestigious institutions.

sir kindly read this brochure sourced from official bits Pilani faq website I appeared for the 12th Board examination for the first time in 2025, but I did not reappear in all the subjects for improvement. I appeared only in the 'n' number of subject(s) in 2026. What 12th year of passing should I fill in BITSAT-2026? Since you appeared only in a few subjects for improvement in 2026, your year of passing the 12th exam will be 2025. You will provide both of your marks sheets, the first Marks of the statement along with the improved marks of the statement. Please note that your latest marks will be considered....will I still not be considered eligible??

Ans: Then it is okay. It means you are still eligible for BITs, and your case is explicitly allowed under their rule: the passing year remains 2025, and improvement in some subjects is accepted, so eligibility is NOT affected. You must be happy then.

Ans: Rank can't be predicted accurately at this moment. For ECE, try DSCE, NIE Mysore, CMRIT, BIT Bangalore (borderline), and other mid-tier colleges in Bengaluru/Mysuru, mostly in later rounds. Keep a private college option via the management quota from a safe side point of view.

VITEEE 50K rank what are possibilities for Mechanical Engineering in VIT Vellore or Chennai? What about ECE or EEE or EIE? What category at VIT Chennai?

Ans: Vellore campus is not realistic; in Chennai, Mechanical, EEE, and EIE are possible in Category 2–3, while ECE is borderline and may need a higher category; VIT-AP/Bhopal offers the safest admission options.

Hello Sir I have got rank of 35,398 in VITEEE could you please get can I get cse core or specializations in chennai/vellore . And yes am ready to pay the fee of cat 4 or 5. But sir please tell is it possible to get in vellore or chennai campus or not.

Ans: Subham, at VITEEE rank 35,398, VIT Vellore CSE Core is not possible, and CSE specialisations at Vellore are also very difficult, even in Category 4/5. For VIT Chennai, CSE Core is doubtful, because expected Category 5 closing is around 34,000–34,200, but CSE specialisations may be possible up to around 42,000 in the higher fee category, depending on seat movement and choice filling. The best choice order is Chennai CSE specialisations → Chennai IT/ECE → VIT-AP CSE/AI/DS → VIT Bhopal CSE/AI. Have 3-4 backup options of other private colleges. Ans: Santosh, at AEEE rank 65,457, getting CSE or CSE-AI at Amritapuri at around ?4 lakh/year is highly unlikely. Amrita confirms that B.Tech admission is through AEEE/JEE, with scholarship fee slabs 1–4 based on exam performance, and its 2026 fee PDF shows differential annual fees by branch/campus.

Based on available 2025 trend data, Amritapuri CSE/CSE-specialisation usually needs much better ranks, roughly within the lower thousands, not 65k. Backup options are to try Amrita mop-up only for lower-demand branches and keep VIT-AP/Bhopal, and other 4-5 backup options of private colleges as safer CSE/AI backups. Ans: Pankaj Sir, With JEE Main CRL 51,100 (General Female), CSE in NITs is very unlikely through JoSAA because open-seat ranks use CRL and NIT CSE usually closes much earlier. Even the female quota may not stretch to this level for CSE in regular rounds. She may try CSAB for newer NIT/IIIT/GFTI lower-demand branches, but for CSE/IT, chances are weak. With VITEEE rank 10,214, chances are much better in VIT. VIT Vellore CSE Core may be difficult in lower fee categories, but CSE specialisations at Vellore/Chennai may be possible in higher categories; VIT-AP/Bhopal CSE/AI/DS should be realistic. VIT has separate fee categories and campuses, including Vellore, Chennai, AP and Bhopal.

The best strategy is to prefer VIT Chennai/Vellore CSE-specialisation, keep VIT-AP/Bhopal CSE as a strong backup, and use JoSAA/CSAB mainly for ECE/EEE/Mechanical options. All the Best for Your Daughter's Prosperous Future!

Ans: Biotechnology at VIT Vellore in Phase 4 seems to be challenging. However, she has a chance in VIT Bhopal/AP Biotechnology (even in lower categories/late rounds), and also other allied branches like Bioinformatics/Health Sciences.

Sir I got 99.84 percentile or 2295 rank in jee mains, however I am completely out of sync with branches and colleges. Althought I have interest in aerospace industry, what other options in terms of colleges and branches exceot cse can I look towards

Ans: You can target top NITs/IIITs (CS/ECE, etc.) and also core engineering at IITs if your rank holds. For aerospace, you can safely choose Aerospace/Mechanical/Engineering Physics at top IITs or strong NITs like Trichy/Surathkal/Warangal. First, decide what you want to become in the future. Don't choose the branch/college you are getting just because you have a high score of 99.84. Value your interest first and then choose the college with complete details.
