My overall rank in IISER is 49147and category rank is 3595 is there any chance of getting IISER institute for bs ms courses

Ans: Ritika, With an overall IISER rank of 49,147 and a category (likely SC) rank of 3,595, there is no realistic chance of getting admission to any IISER for the BS-MS program. The 2024 SC category closing ranks for even the least competitive IISERs (like Berhampur, Tirupati, Thiruvananthapuram) were all below 900–1,000, with top IISERs closing well below 500. The expected 2025 cutoffs are projected to remain similar or become even more competitive due to increased applicants and stable seat matrices.

Recommendation: Admission to any IISER is not possible with a category rank of 3,595; focus on alternative science programs at central universities, state universities, or private institutions where your rank aligns better with the admission criteria and you can access quality science education and research opportunities. My IISER category rank is 7500 any chance to getting admission in any IISER

Ans: With an IISER category rank of 7500, getting into any IISER, especially the older and more popular ones (like Pune, Kolkata, etc.), is highly unlikely, especially if you're in the general category. The cutoffs for these institutes are generally much lower. However, there might be a slim chance in newer IISERs like Berhampur or Tirupati, particularly in later rounds of counselling if vacancies remain. It's recommended to participate in the counselling process and prioritize these newer institutes, while also keeping an eye on seat availability in other IISERs.

Ans: With a rank of 12436 in the IAT, it's possible to get into some IISERs for the BS-MS program, but it depends on the specific IISER and the category you belong to. The newer IISERs like Tirupati and Berhampur may be more likely to offer a seat.

Got 290660 rank in Jee....in which college of IPU I can get admission

Ans: Admission to GGSIPU’s B.Tech programmes is granted only on the basis of a valid JEE Main Paper-1 score, with closing ranks for all specializations under the Other-State quota never extending beyond approximately 250 000 in the final counselling rounds. With a JEE Main rank of 290 660, you fall outside the eligible range for direct B.Tech admission through JEE Main at any IPU-affiliated college. To pursue BE/B.Tech at IPU or its participating institutes, you will need to register for and qualify in the IPU CET, which has its own eligibility criteria (50 percent in Class XII PCM and English) and typically requires a minimum IPU CET score equivalent to the top 95th percentile for competitive branches.
